Chapter 13

1  David fetcheth the Ark with great solemnity from Kirjath-jearim.  9  Uzza being smitten, the Ark left at the house of Obed-edom.

        13:1 ¶ And David 1732 consulted 3289 8735z with 5973x the captains 8269 of thousands 505 and hundreds, 3967 [and] with every 3605x leader. 5057

        13:2 And David 1732 said 559 8799z unto all 3605x the congregation 6951 of Israel, 3478 If 518x [it seem] good 2895 8804z unto 5921x you, and [that it be] of 4480x the LORD 3068 our God, 430 let us send 7971 8799z abroad 6555 8799z unto 5921x our brethren 251 every where, [that are] left 7604 8737z in all 3605x the land 776 of Israel, 3478 and with 5973x them [also] to the priests 3548 and Levites 3881 [which are] in their cities 5892 [and] suburbs, 4054 that they may gather 6908y 8735z themselves 6908x unto 413x us:

        13:3 And let us bring again 5437 8686z 853x the ark 727 of our God 430 to 413x us: for 3588x we enquired 1875 8804z not 3808x at it in the days 3117 of Saul. 7586

        13:4 And all 3605x the congregation 6951 said 559 8799z that they would do 6213x so: 6213y 8800z 3651x for 3588x the thing 1697 was right 3474 8804z in the eyes 5869 of all 3605x the people. 5971

        13:5 So David 1732 gathered 6950 0z 853x all 3605x Israel 3478 together, 6950y 8686z from 4480x Shihor 7883 of Egypt 4714 even unto 5704x the entering 935 8800z of Hemath, 2574 to bring 935 8687z 853x the ark 727 of God 430 from Kirjathjearim. 7157 4480x

        13:6 And David 1732 went up, 5927 8799z and all 3605x Israel, 3478 to Baalah, 1173 [that is], to 413x Kirjathjearim, 7157 which 834x [belonged] to Judah, 3063 to bring up 5927 8687z thence 4480x 8033x 853x the ark 727 of God 430 the LORD, 3068 that dwelleth 3427 8802z [between] the cherubims, 3742 whose 834x name 8034 is called 7121 8738z [on it].

        13:7 And they carried 7392 8686z 853x the ark 727 of God 430 in 5921x a new 2319 cart 5699 out of the house 1004 4480x of Abinadab: 41 and Uzza 5798 and Ahio 283 drave 5090 8802z the cart. 5699

        13:10 And the anger 639 of the LORD 3068 was kindled 2734 8799z against Uzza, 5798 and he smote 5221 8686z 5921x him, because 5921x 834x he put 7971 8804z his hand 3027 to 5921x the ark: 727 and there 8033x he died 4191 8799z before 6440 God. 430

        13:11 And David 1732 was displeased, 2734 8799z because 3588x the LORD 3068 had made 6555 8804z a breach 6556 upon Uzza: 5798 wherefore that 1931x place 4725 is called 7121 8799z Perezuzza 6560 to 5704x this 2088x day. 3117

        13:12 And David 1732 was afraid 3372 8799z 853x of God 430 that 1931x day, 3117 saying, 559 8800z How 1963 shall I bring 935 8686z 853x the ark 727 of God 430 [home] to 413x me?

        13:13 So David 1732 brought 5493 8689z not 3808x 853x the ark 727 [home] to 413x himself to 413x the city 5892 of David, 1732 but carried it aside 5186 8686z into 413x the house 1004 of Obededom 5654 the Gittite. 1663

        13:14 And the ark 727 of God 430 remained 3427 8799z with 5973x the family 1004 of Obededom 5654 in his house 1004 three 7969 months. 2320 And the LORD 3068 blessed 1288 8762z 853x the house 1004 of Obededom, 5654 and all 3605x that 834x he had.
