Chapter 14

1  Abijah being sick, Jeroboam sendeth his wife disguised with presents to the prophet Ahijah at Shiloh.  5  Ahijah, forewarned by God, denounceth God's judgment.  17  Abijah dieth, and is buried.  19  Nabab succeedeth Jeroboam.  21  Rehoboam's wicked reign.  25  Shishak spoileth Jerusalem.  29  Abijam succeedeth Rehoboam.

        14:1 ¶ At that 1931x time 6256 Abijah 29 the son 1121 of Jeroboam 3379 fell sick. 2470 8804z

        14:2 And Jeroboam 3379 said 559 8799z to his wife, 802 Arise, 6965 8798z I pray thee, 4994x and disguise 8138y 8690z thyself, 8138x that 3588x thou 859x be not 3808x known 3045 8799z to be the wife 802 of Jeroboam; 3379 and get 1980 8804z thee to Shiloh: 7887 behold, 2009x there 8033x [is] Ahijah 281 the prophet, 5030 which 1931x told 1696 8765z 5921x me that [I should be] king 4428 over 5921x this 2088x people. 5971

        14:3 And take 3947 8804z with 3027x thee 3027y ten 6235 loaves, 3899 and cracknels, 5350 and a cruse 1228 of honey, 1706 and go 935 8804z to 413x him: he 1931x shall tell 5046 8686z thee what 4100x shall become 1961x of the child. 5288

        14:4 And Jeroboam's 3379 wife 802 did 6213x so, 6213y 8799z 3651x and arose, 6965 8799z and went 3212y 8799z 1980x to Shiloh, 7887 and came 935 8799z to the house 1004 of Ahijah. 281 But Ahijah 281 could 3201 8804z not 3808x see; 7200 8800z for 3588x his eyes 5869 were set 6965 8804z by reason of his age. 7869 4480x

        14:5 ¶ And the LORD 3068 said 559 8804z unto 413x Ahijah, 281 Behold, 2009x the wife 802 of Jeroboam 3379 cometh 935 8802z to ask 1875 8800z a thing 1697 of 4480x 5973x thee for 413x her son; 1121 for 3588x he 1931x [is] sick: 2470 8802z thus 2090 and thus 2088x shalt thou say 1696 8762z unto 413x her: for it shall be, 1961x when she cometh in, 935 8800z that she 1931x shall feign herself [to be] another 5234y 8693z [woman]. 5234x

        14:6 And it was 1961x [so], when Ahijah 281 heard 8085 8800z 853x the sound 6963 of her feet, 7272 as she came in 935 8802z at the door, 6607 that he said, 559 8799z Come in, 935 8798z thou wife 802 of Jeroboam; 3379 why 4100x 2088x feignest thou thyself [to be] another? 5234 8693z 859x for I 595x [am] sent 7971 8803z to 413x thee [with] heavy 7186 [tidings].

        14:7 Go, 3212y 8798z 1980x tell 559 8798z Jeroboam, 3379 Thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel, 3478 Forasmuch 3282x 834x as 3282y I exalted 7311 8689z thee from among 8432 4480x the people, 5971 and made 5414 8799z thee prince 5057 over 5921x my people 5971 Israel, 3478

        14:8 And rent 7167 0z 853x the kingdom 4467 away 7167y 8799z from the house 1004 4480x of David, 1732 and gave 5414 8799z it thee: and [yet] thou hast not 3808x been 1961x as my servant 5650 David, 1732 who 834x kept 8104 8804z my commandments, 4687 and who 834x followed 1980 310 8804z me with all 3605x his heart, 3824 to do 6213 8800z [that] only 7535x [which was] right 3477 in mine eyes; 5869

        14:9 But hast done 6213 8800z evil 7489 8686z above all 4480x 3605x that 834x were 1961x before 6440 thee: for thou hast gone 3212y 8799z 1980x and made 6213 8799z thee other 312 gods, 430 and molten images, 4541 to provoke me to anger, 3707 8687z and hast cast 7993 8689z me behind 310 thy back: 1458

        14:10 Therefore, 3651x behold, 2009x I will bring 935 8688z evil 7451 upon 413x the house 1004 of Jeroboam, 3379 and will cut off 3772 8689z from Jeroboam 3379 him that pisseth 8366 8688z against the wall, 7023 [and] him that is shut up 6113 8803z and left 5800 8803z in Israel, 3478 and will take away 1197 8765z the remnant 310 of the house 1004 of Jeroboam, 3379 as 834x a man taketh away 1197 8762z dung, 1557 till 5704x it be all gone. 8552 8800z

        14:11 Him that dieth 4191 8801z of Jeroboam 3379 in the city 5892 shall the dogs 3611 eat; 398 8799z and him that dieth 4191 8801z in the field 7704 shall the fowls 5775 of the air 8064 eat: 398 8799z for 3588x the LORD 3068 hath spoken 1696 8765z [it].

        14:12 Arise 6965 8798z thou 859x therefore, get 3212y 8798z 1980x thee to thine own house: 1004 [and] when thy feet 7272 enter 935 8800z into the city, 5892 the child 3206 shall die. 4191 8804z

        14:13 And all 3605x Israel 3478 shall mourn 5594 8804z for him, and bury 6912 8804z him: for 3588x 2088x he only 905x of Jeroboam 3379 shall come 935 8799z to 413x the grave, 6913 because 3282x in him there is found 4672 8738z [some] good 2896 thing 1697 toward 413x the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478 in the house 1004 of Jeroboam. 3379

        14:14 Moreover the LORD 3068 shall raise him up 6965 8689z a king 4428 over 5921x Israel, 3478 who 834x shall cut off 3772 8686z 853x the house 1004 of Jeroboam 3379 that 2088x day: 3117 but what? 4100x even 1571x now. 6258x

        14:15 For the LORD 3068 shall smite 5221 8689z 853x Israel, 3478 as 834x a reed 7070 is shaken 5110 8799z in the water, 4325 and he shall root up 5428 8804z 853x Israel 3478 out of 4480x 5921x this 2063x good 2896 land, 127 which 834x he gave 5414 8804z to their fathers, 1 and shall scatter 2219 8765z them beyond 5676 4480x the river, 5104 because 3282x 834x they have made 6213 8804z 853x their groves, 842 provoking the LORD 3068y to anger. 3707 8688z 853x 3068x

        14:17 ¶ And Jeroboam's 3379 wife 802 arose, 6965 8799z and departed, 3212y 8799z 1980x and came 935 8799z to Tirzah: 8656 [and] when she 1931x came 935 8802z to the threshold 5592 of the door, 1004 the child 5288 died; 4191 8804z

        14:18 And they buried 6912 8799z him; and all 3605x Israel 3478 mourned 5594 8799z for him, according to the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 which 834x he spake 1696 8765z by the hand 3027 of his servant 5650 Ahijah 281 the prophet. 5030

        14:19 And the rest 3499 of the acts 1697 of Jeroboam, 3379 how 834x he warred, 3898 8738z and how 834x he reigned, 4427 8804z behold, 2009x they [are] written 3789 8803z in 5921x the book 5612 of the chronicles 1697 3117 of the kings 4428 of Israel. 3478

        14:20 And the days 3117 which 834x Jeroboam 3379 reigned 4427 8804z [were] two 8147 and twenty 6242 years: 8141 and he slept 7901 8799z with 5973x his fathers, 1 and Nadab 5070 his son 1121 reigned 4427 8799z in his stead. 8478x

        14:24 And there were 1961x also 1571x sodomites 6945 in the land: 776 [and] they did 6213 8804z according to all 3605x the abominations 8441 of the nations 1471 which 834x the LORD 3068 cast out 3423 8689z before 6440 4480x the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

        14:25 ¶ And it came to pass 1961x in the fifth 2549 year 8141 of king 4428 Rehoboam, 7346 [that] Shishak 7895 king 4428 of Egypt 4714 came up 5927 8804z against 5921x Jerusalem: 3389

        14:28 And it was 1961x [so], when 1767 4480x the king 4428 went 935 8800z into the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 that the guard 7323 8801z bare 5375 8799z them, and brought them back 7725 8689z into 413x the guard 7323 8801z chamber. 8372

        14:29 ¶ Now the rest 3499 of the acts 1697 of Rehoboam, 7346 and all 3605x that 834x he did, 6213 8804z [are] they 1992x not 3808x written 3789 8803z in 5921x the book 5612 of the chronicles 1697 3117 of the kings 4428 of Judah? 3063

        14:30 And there was 1961x war 4421 between 996x Rehoboam 7346 and Jeroboam 3379 all 3605x [their] days. 3117

        14:31 And Rehoboam 7346 slept 7901 8799z with 5973x his fathers, 1 and was buried 6912 8735z with 5973x his fathers 1 in the city 5892 of David. 1732 And his mother's 517 name 8034 [was] Naamah 5279 an Ammonitess. 5985y 5984x And Abijam 38 his son 1121 reigned 4427 8799z in his stead. 8478x
