Chapter 20

1  Hezekiah, having received a message of death, by prayer hath his life lengthened.  8  The sun goeth ten degrees backward for a sign of that promise.  12  Berodach-baladan, sending to visit Hezekiah because of the wonder, hath notice of his treasures.  14  Isaiah understanding thereof foretelleth the Babylonian captivity.  20  Manasseh succeedeth Hezekiah.

        20:1 ¶ In those 1992x days 3117 was Hezekiah 2396y sick 2470 8804z 2396x unto death. 4191 8800z And the prophet 5030 Isaiah 3470 the son 1121 of Amoz 531 came 935 8799z to 413x him, and said 559 8799z unto 413x him, Thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the LORD, 3068 Set thine house 1004y in order; 6680 8761z 1004x for 3588x thou 859x shalt die, 4191 8801z and not 3808x live. 2421 8799z

        20:2 Then he turned 5437 8686z 853x his face 6440 to 413x the wall, 7023 and prayed 6419 8691z unto 413x the LORD, 3068 saying, 559 8800z

        20:3 I beseech 577y thee, 577x O LORD, 3068 remember 2142 8798z now 4994x 853x how 834x I have walked 1980 8694z before 6440 thee in truth 571 and with a perfect 8003 heart, 3824 and have done 6213 8804z [that which is] good 2896 in thy sight. 5869 And Hezekiah 2396 wept 1058 8799z 1065y sore. 1419 1065x

        20:4 And it came to pass, 1961x afore 3808x Isaiah 3470 was gone out 3318 8804z into the middle 8484 court, 2691 8675z 5892y that the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961x to 413x him, saying, 559 8800z

        20:5 Turn again, 7725 8798z and tell 559 8804z 413x Hezekiah 2396 the captain 5057 of my people, 5971 Thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the LORD, 3068 the God 430 of David 1732 thy father, 1 I have heard 8085 8804z 853x thy prayer, 8605 I have seen 7200 8804z 853x thy tears: 1832 behold, 2009x I will heal 7495 8802z thee: on the third 7992 day 3117 thou shalt go up 5927 8799z unto the house 1004 of the LORD. 3068

        20:6 And I will add 3254 8689z unto 5921x thy days 3117 fifteen 2568 6240 years; 8141 and I will deliver 5337 8686z thee and this 2063x city 5892 out of the hand 3709 4480x of the king 4428 of Assyria; 804 and I will defend 1598 8804z 5921x this 2063x city 5892 for mine own sake, 4616x and for my servant 5650 David's 1732 sake. 4616x

        20:7 And Isaiah 3470 said, 559 8799z Take 3947 8798z a lump 1690 of figs. 8384 And they took 3947 8799z and laid 7760 8799z [it] on 5921x the boil, 7822 and he recovered. 2421 8799z

        20:8 ¶ And Hezekiah 2396 said 559 8799z unto 413x Isaiah, 3470 What 4100x [shall be] the sign 226 that 3588x the LORD 3068 will heal 7495 8799z me, and that I shall go up 5927 8804z into the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 the third 7992 day? 3117

        20:9 And Isaiah 3470 said, 559 8799z This 2088x sign 226 shalt thou have of 4480x 854x the LORD, 3068 that 3588x the LORD 3068 will do 6213 8799z 853x the thing 1697 that 834x he hath spoken: 1696 8765z shall the shadow 6738 go forward 1980 8804z ten 6235 degrees, 4609 or 518x go back 7725 8799z ten 6235 degrees? 4609

        20:10 And Hezekiah 3169 answered, 559 8799z It is a light thing 7043 8738z for the shadow 6738 to go down 5186 8800z ten 6235 degrees: 4609 nay, 3808x but 3588x let the shadow 6738 return 7725 8799z backward 322 ten 6235 degrees. 4609

        20:11 And Isaiah 3470 the prophet 5030 cried 7121 8799z unto 413x the LORD: 3068 and he brought 7725 8686z 853x the shadow 6738 ten 6235 degrees 4609 backward, 322 by 4609y which 834x it had gone down 3381 8804z in the dial 4609 of Ahaz. 271

        20:12 ¶ At that 1931x time 6256 Berodachbaladan, 1255 the son 1121 of Baladan, 1081 king 4428 of Babylon, 894 sent 7971 8804z letters 5612 and a present 4503 unto 413x Hezekiah: 2396 for 3588x he had heard 8085 8804z that 3588x Hezekiah 2396 had been sick. 2470 8804z

        20:13 And Hezekiah 2396 hearkened 8085 8799z unto 5921x them, and shewed 7200 8686z them 853x all 3605x the house 1004 of his precious things, 5238 853x the silver, 3701 and the gold, 2091 and the spices, 1314 and the precious 2896 ointment, 8081 and [all] the house 1004 of his armour, 3627 and all 3605x that 834x was found 4672 8738z in his treasures: 214 there was 1961x nothing 1697 3808x in his house, 1004 nor in all 3605x his dominion, 4475 that 834x Hezekiah 2396 shewed 7200 8689z them not. 3808x

        20:14 ¶ Then came 935 8799z Isaiah 3470 the prophet 5030 unto 413x king 4428 Hezekiah, 2396 and said 559 8799z unto 413x him, What 4100x said 559 8804z these 428x men? 582y 376x and from whence 370 4480x came 935 8799z they unto 413x thee? And Hezekiah 2396 said, 559 8799z They are come 935 8804z from a far 7350y country, 776 4480x 7350x [even] from Babylon. 894 4480x

        20:15 And he said, 559 8799z What 4100x have they seen 7200 8804z in thine house? 1004 And Hezekiah 2396 answered, 559 8799z 853x All 3605x [the things] that 834x [are] in mine house 1004 have they seen: 7200 8804z there is 1961x nothing 1697 3808x among my treasures 214 that 834x I have not 3808x shewed 7200 8689z them.

        20:16 And Isaiah 3470 said 559 8799z unto 413x Hezekiah, 2396 Hear 8085 8798z the word 1697 of the LORD. 3068

        20:17 Behold, 2009x the days 3117 come, 935 8802z that all 3605x that 834x [is] in thine house, 1004 and that which 834x thy fathers 1 have laid up in store 686 8804z unto 5704x this 2088x day, 3117 shall be carried 5375 8738z into Babylon: 894 nothing 1697 3808x shall be left, 3498 8735z saith 559 8804z the LORD. 3068

        20:18 And of thy sons 1121 4480x that 834x shall issue 3318 8799z from 4480x thee, which 834x thou shalt beget, 3205 8686z shall they take away; 3947 8799z and they shall be 1961x eunuchs 5631 in the palace 1964 of the king 4428 of Babylon. 894

        20:19 Then said 559 8799z Hezekiah 2396 unto 413x Isaiah, 3470 Good 2896 [is] the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 which 834x thou hast spoken. 1696 8765z And he said, 559 8799z [Is it] not 3808x [good], if 518x peace 7965 and truth 571 be 1961x in my days? 3117

        20:20 ¶ And the rest 3499 of the acts 1697 of Hezekiah, 2396 and all 3605x his might, 1369 and how 834x he made 6213 8804z 853x a pool, 1295 and a conduit, 8585 and brought 935 8686z 853x water 4325 into the city, 5892 [are] they 1992x not 3808x written 3789 8803z in 5921x the book 5612 of the chronicles 1697 3117 of the kings 4428 of Judah? 3063

        20:21 And Hezekiah 2396 slept 7901 8799z with 5973x his fathers: 1 and Manasseh 4519 his son 1121 reigned 4427 8799z in his stead. 8478x
