Chapter 23

1  David, in his last words, professeth his faith in God's promises to be beyond sense or experience.  6  The different state of the wicked.  8  A catalogue of David's mighty men.

        23:2 The Spirit 7307 of the LORD 3068 spake 1696 8765z by me, and his word 4405 [was] in 5921x my tongue. 3956

        23:3 The God 430 of Israel 3478 said, 559 8804z the Rock 6697 of Israel 3478 spake 1696 8765z to me, He that ruleth 4910y 8802z over 4910x men 120 [must be] just, 6662 ruling 4910 8802z in the fear 3374 of God. 430

        23:4 And [he shall be] as the light 216 of the morning, 1242 [when] the sun 8121 riseth, 2224 8799z [even] a morning 1242 without 3808 clouds; 5645 [as] the tender grass 1877 [springing] out of the earth 776 4480x by clear shining 5051 4480x after rain. 4306 4480x

        23:5 Although 3588x my house 1004 [be] not 3808x so 3651x with 5973x God; 410 yet 3588x he hath made 7760 8804z with me an everlasting 5769 covenant, 1285 ordered 6186 8803z in all 3605x [things], and sure: 8104 8803z for 3588x [this is] all 3605x my salvation, 3468 and all 3605x [my] desire, 2656 although 3588x he make [it] not 3808x to grow. 6779 8686z

        23:6 ¶ But [the sons] of Belial 1100 [shall be] all 3605x of them as thorns 6975 thrust away, 5074 8716z because 3588x they cannot 3808x be taken 3947 8799z with hands: 3027

        23:7 But the man 376 [that] shall touch 5060 8799z them must be fenced 4390 8735z with iron 1270 and the staff 6086 of a spear; 2595 and they shall be utterly 8313y 8800z burned 8313 8735z with fire 784 in the [same] place. 7675 8800z
