Chapter 7

1  Nathan first approving the purpose of David to build God an house,  4  after by the Word of God forbiddeth him.  12  He promiseth him benefits and blessings in his seed.  18  David's prayer and thanksgiving.

        7:1 ¶ And it came to pass, 1961x when 3588x the king 4428 sat 3427 8804z in his house, 1004 and the LORD 3068 had given him rest 5117 8689z round about 5439 4480x from all 4480x 3605x his enemies; 341 8802z

        7:2 That the king 4428 said 559 8799z unto 413x Nathan 5416 the prophet, 5030 See 7200 8798z now, 4994x I 595x dwell 3427 8802z in an house 1004 of cedar, 730 but the ark 727 of God 430 dwelleth 3427 8802z within 8432 curtains. 3407

        7:3 And Nathan 5416 said 559 8799z to 413x the king, 4428 Go, 3212y 8798z 1980x do 6213 8798z all 3605x that 834x [is] in thine heart; 3824 for 3588x the LORD 3068 [is] with 5973x thee.

        7:4 ¶ And it came to pass 1961x that 1931x night, 3915 that the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961x unto 413x Nathan, 5416 saying, 559 8800z

        7:5 Go 3212y 8798z 1980x and tell 559 8804z 413x my servant 5650 David, 1732 Thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the LORD, 3068 Shalt thou 859x build 1129 8799z me an house 1004 for me to dwell 3427x in? 3427y 8800z

        7:6 Whereas 3588x I have not 3808x dwelt 3427 8804z in [any] house 1004 since the time 3117 4480x that I brought up 5927 8687z 853x the children 1121 of Israel 3478 out of Egypt, 4714 4480x even to 5704x this 2088x day, 3117 but have 1961x walked 1980 8693z in a tent 168 and in a tabernacle. 4908

        7:7 In all 3605x [the places] wherein 834x I have walked 1980 8694z with all 3605x the children 1121 of Israel 3478 spake 1696 8765z I a word 1697 with 854x any 259 of the tribes 7626 of Israel, 3478 whom 834x I commanded 6680 8765z to feed 7462 8800z 853x my people 5971 853x Israel, 3478 saying, 559 8800z Why 4100x build 1129 8804z ye not 3808x me an house 1004 of cedar? 730

        7:8 Now 6258x therefore 3541x so shalt thou say 559 8799z unto my servant 5650 David, 1732 Thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 I 589x took 3947 8804z thee from 4480x the sheepcote, 5116 from following 310 4480x the sheep, 6629 to be 1961x ruler 5057 over 5921x my people, 5971 over 5921x Israel: 3478

        7:9 And I was 1961x with 5973x thee whithersoever 3605x 834x thou wentest, 1980 8804z and have cut off 3772 8686z 853x all 3605x thine enemies 341 8802z out of thy sight, 6440 4480x and have made 6213 8804z thee a great 1419 name, 8034 like unto the name 8034 of the great 1419 [men] that 834x [are] in the earth. 776

        7:10 Moreover I will appoint 7760 8804z a place 4725 for my people 5971 Israel, 3478 and will plant 5193 8804z them, that they may dwell 7931 8804z in a place 8478x of their own, and move 7264 8799z no 3808x more; 5750x neither 3808x shall the children 1121 of wickedness 5766 afflict 6031 8763z them any more, 3254 8686z as 834x beforetime, 7223

        7:11 And as since 4480x the time 3117 that 834x I commanded 6680 8765z judges 8199 8802z [to be] over 5921x my people 5971 Israel, 3478 and have caused thee to rest 5117 8689z from all 4480x 3605x thine enemies. 341 8802z Also the LORD 3068 telleth 5046 8689z thee that 3588x he will make 6213 8799z thee an house. 1004

        7:12 ¶ And when 3588x thy days 3117 be fulfilled, 4390 8799z and thou shalt sleep 7901 8804z with 854x thy fathers, 1 I will set up 6965 8689z 853x thy seed 2233 after 310 thee, which 834x shall proceed 3318 8799z out of thy bowels, 4578 4480x and I will establish 3559 8689z 853x his kingdom. 4467

        7:13 He 1931x shall build 1129 8799z an house 1004 for my name, 8034 and I will stablish 3559 8790z 853x the throne 3678 of his kingdom 4467 for 5704y ever. 5769 5704x

        7:14 I 589x will be 1961x his father, 1 and he 1931x shall be 1961x my son. 1121 If 834x he commit iniquity, 5753 8687z I will chasten 3198 8689z him with the rod 7626 of men, 582y 376x and with the stripes 5061 of the children 1121 of men: 120

        7:15 But my mercy 2617 shall not 3808x depart away 5493 8799z from 4480x him, as 834x I took 5493 8689z [it] from 4480x 5973x Saul, 7586 whom 834x I put away 5493 8689z before 6440 4480x thee.

        7:16 And thine house 1004 and thy kingdom 4467 shall be established 539 8738z for 5704 5769x ever 5769y 6440x before 6440y thee: thy throne 3678 shall be 1961x established 3559 8737z for 5704y ever. 5769 5704x

        7:17 According to all 3605x these 428x words, 1697 and according to all 3605x this 2088x vision, 2384 so 3651x did Nathan 5416 speak 1696 8765z unto 413x David. 1732

        7:18 ¶ Then went 935 8799z king 4428 David 1732 in, and sat 3427 8799z before 6440 the LORD, 3068y 3069x and he said, 559 8799z Who 4310x [am] I, 595x O Lord 136 GOD? 3069 and what 4310x [is] my house, 1004 that 3588x thou hast brought 935 8689z me hitherto? 1988 5704x

        7:19 And this 2063x was yet 5750x a small 6994x thing 6994y 8799z in thy sight, 5869 O Lord 136 GOD; 3069 but thou hast spoken 1696 8762z also 1571x of 413x thy servant's 5650 house 1004 for a great while to come. 7350 4480x And [is] this 2063x the manner 8452 of man, 120 O Lord 136 GOD? 3069

        7:20 And what 4100x can 3254y 0z David 1732 say 1696 8763z 3254x more 3254y 8686z 5750x unto 413x thee? for thou, 859x Lord 136 GOD, 3069 knowest 3045 8804z 853x thy servant. 5650

        7:21 For thy word's 1697y sake, 5668x 1697x and according to thine own heart, 3820 hast thou done 6213 8804z 853x all 3605x these 2063x great things, 1420 to make 853x thy servant 5650 know 3045 8687z [them].

        7:22 Wherefore 5921x 3651x thou art great, 1431 8804z O LORD 3068 God: 430y 136x for 3588x [there is] none 369x like thee, 3644x neither 369x [is there any] God 430 beside 2108 thee, according to all 3605x that 834x we have heard 8085 8804z with our ears. 241

        7:23 And what 4310x one 259 nation 1471 in the earth 776 [is] like thy people, 5971 [even] like Israel, 3478 whom 834x God 430 went 1980 8804z to redeem 6299 8800z for a people 5971 to himself, and to make 7760 8800z him a name, 8034 and to do 6213 8800z for you great 1420x things 1420y and terrible, 3372 8737z for thy land, 776 before 6440 4480x thy people, 5971 which 834x thou redeemedst 6299 8804z to thee from Egypt, 4714 4480x [from] the nations 1471 and their gods? 430

        7:24 For thou hast confirmed 3559 8787z to thyself 853x thy people 5971 Israel 3478 [to be] a people 5971 unto thee for 5704y ever: 5769 5704x and thou, 859x LORD, 3068 art become 1961 8804z their God. 430

        7:25 And now, 6258x O LORD 3068 God, 430 the word 1697 that 834x thou hast spoken 1696 8765z concerning 5921x thy servant, 5650 and concerning 5921x his house, 1004 establish 6965 8685z [it] for 5704y ever, 5769 5704x and do 6213 8798z as 834x thou hast said. 1696 8765z

        7:26 And let thy name 8034 be magnified 1431 8799z for 5704y ever, 5769 5704x saying, 559 8800z The LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 [is] the God 430 over 5921x Israel: 3478 and let the house 1004 of thy servant 5650 David 1732 be 1961x established 3559 8737z before 6440 thee.

        7:27 For 3588x thou, 859x O LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 God 430 of Israel, 3478 hast revealed 1540 241 8804z to thy servant, 5650 saying, 559 8800z I will build 1129 8799z thee an house: 1004 therefore 5921x 3651x hath thy servant 5650 found 4672 8804z in 853x his heart 3820 to pray 6419 8692z 853x this 2063x prayer 8605 unto 413x thee.

        7:28 And now, 6258x O Lord 136 GOD, 3069 thou 859x [art] that 1931x God, 430 and thy words 1697 be 1961x true, 571 and thou hast promised 1696 8762z 853x this 2063x goodness 2896 unto 413x thy servant: 5650

        7:29 Therefore now 6258x let it please 2974y 8685z 2794x thee to bless 1288 8761z 853x the house 1004 of thy servant, 5650 that it may continue 1961x for ever 5769 before 6440 thee: for 3588x thou, 859x O Lord 136 GOD, 3069 hast spoken 1696 8765z [it]: and with thy blessing 1293 4480x let the house 1004 of thy servant 5650 be blessed 1288 8792z for ever. 5769
