Deuteronomy

Chapter 31

1  Moses encourageth the people.  7  He encourageth Joshua.  9  He delivereth the Law unto the priests to read it in the seventh year to the people.  14  God giveth a charge to Joshua,  19  and a song to testify against the people.  24  Moses delivereth the book of the Law to the Levites to keep.  28  He maketh a protestation to the elders.

        31:1 ¶ And Moses 4872 went 3212y 8799z 1980x and spake 1696 8762z 853x these 428x words 1697 unto 413x all 3605x Israel. 3478

        31:2 And he said 559 8799z unto 413x them, I 595x [am] an hundred 3967 and twenty 6242 years 8141 old 1121 this day; 3117 I can 3201 8799z no 3808x more 5750x go out 3318 8800z and come in: 935 8800z also the LORD 3068 hath said 559 8804z unto 413x me, Thou shalt not 3808x go over 5674 8799z 853x this 2088x Jordan. 3383

        31:3 The LORD 3068 thy God, 430 he 1931x will go over 5674 8802z before 6440 thee, [and] he 1931x will destroy 8045 8686z 853x these 428x nations 1471 from before 6440 4480x thee, and thou shalt possess 3423 8804z them: [and] Joshua, 3091 he 1931x shall go over 5674 8802z before 6440 thee, as 834x the LORD 3068 hath said. 1696 8765z

        31:4 And the LORD 3068 shall do 6213 8804z unto them as 834x he did 6213 8804z to Sihon 5511 and to Og, 5747 kings 4428 of the Amorites, 567 and unto the land 776 of them, whom 834x 853x he destroyed. 8045 8689z

        31:5 And the LORD 3068 shall give them up 5414 8804z before your face, 6440 that ye may do 6213 8804z unto them according unto all 3605x the commandments 4687 which 834x I have commanded 6680 8765z you.

        31:6 Be strong 2388 8798z and of a good courage, 553 8798z fear 3372 8799z not, 408x nor 408x be afraid 6206 8799z of 4480x 6440x them: 6440y for 3588x the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 he 1931x [it is] that doth go 1980 8802z with 5973x thee; he will not 3808x fail 7503 8686z thee, nor 3808x forsake 5800 8799z thee.

        31:7 ¶ And Moses 4872 called 7121 8799z unto Joshua, 3091 and said 559 8799z unto 413x him in the sight 5869 of all 3605x Israel, 3478 Be strong 2388 8798z and of a good courage: 553 8798z for 3588x thou 859x must go 935 8799z with 854x this 2088x people 5971 unto 413x the land 776 which 834x the LORD 3068 hath sworn 7650 8738z unto their fathers 1 to give 5414 8800z them; and thou 859x shalt cause them to inherit 5157 8686z it.

        31:8 And the LORD, 3068 he 1931x [it is] that doth go 1980 8802z before 6440 thee; he 1931x will be 1961x with thee, 5973x he will not 3808x fail 7503 8686z thee, neither 3808x forsake 5800 8799z thee: fear 3372 8799z not, 3808x neither 3808x be dismayed. 2865 8735z

        31:9 ¶ And Moses 4872 wrote 3789 8799z 853x this 2063x law, 8451 and delivered 5414 8799z it unto 413x the priests 3548 the sons 1121 of Levi, 3878 which bare 5375 8802z 853x the ark 727 of the covenant 1285 of the LORD, 3068 and unto 413x all 3605x the elders 2205 of Israel. 3478

        31:10 And Moses 4872 commanded 6680 8762z them, saying, 559 8800z At the end 7093 4480x of [every] seven 7651 years, 8141 in the solemnity 4150 of the year 8141 of release, 8059 in the feast 2282 of tabernacles, 5521

        31:11 When all 3605x Israel 3478 is come 935 8800z to appear 7200 8736z 853x before 6440 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 in the place 4725 which 834x he shall choose, 977 8799z thou shalt read 7121 8799z 853x this 2063x law 8451 before 5048x all 3605x Israel 3478 in their hearing. 241

        31:12 Gather 6950y 0z the people 5971y together, 6950 8685z 853x 5971x men, 582y 376x and women, 802 and children, 2945 and thy stranger 1616 that 834x [is] within thy gates, 8179 that 4616x they may hear, 8085 8799z and that 4616x they may learn, 3925 8799z and fear 3372 8804z 853x the LORD 3068 your God, 430 and observe 8104 8804z to do 6213 8800z 853x all 3605x the words 1697 of this 2063x law: 8451

        31:13 And [that] their children, 1121 which 834x have not 3808x known 3045 8804z [any thing], may hear, 8085 8799z and learn 3925 8804z to fear 3372 8800z 853x the LORD 3068 your God, 430 as long as 3117 3605x 834x ye 859x live 2416 in 5921x the land 127 whither 834x 8033x ye 859x go over 5674 8802z 853x Jordan 3383 to possess 3423 8800z it.

        31:14 ¶ And the LORD 3068 said 559 8799z unto 413x Moses, 4872 Behold, 2005x thy days 3117 approach 7126 8804z that thou must die: 4191 8800z call 7121 8798z 853x Joshua, 3091 and present 3320y 8690z yourselves 3320x in the tabernacle 168 of the congregation, 4150 that I may give him a charge. 6680 8762z And Moses 4872 and Joshua 3091 went, 3212y 8799z 1980x and presented 3320y 8691z themselves 3320x in the tabernacle 168 of the congregation. 4150

        31:15 And the LORD 3068 appeared 7200 8735z in the tabernacle 168 in a pillar 5982 of a cloud: 6051 and the pillar 5982 of the cloud 6051 stood 5975 8799z over 5921x the door 6607 of the tabernacle. 168

        31:16 ¶ And the LORD 3068 said 559 8799z unto 413x Moses, 4872 Behold, 2009x thou shalt sleep 7901 8802z with 5973x thy fathers; 1 and this 2088x people 5971 will rise up, 6965 8804z and go a whoring 2181 8804z after 310 the gods 430 of the strangers 5236 of the land, 776 whither 834x 8033x they 1931x go 935 8802z [to be] among 7130 them, and will forsake 5800 8804z me, and break 6565 8689z 853x my covenant 1285 which 834x I have made 3772 8804z with 854x them.

        31:17 Then my anger 639 shall be kindled 2734 8804z against them in that 1931x day, 3117 and I will forsake 5800 8804z them, and I will hide 5641 8689z my face 6440 from 4480x them, and they shall be 1961x devoured, 398 8800z and many 7227 evils 7451 and troubles 6869 shall befall 4672 8804z them; so that they will say 559 8804z in that 1931x day, 3117 Are not 3808x these 428x evils 7451 come 4672y 8804z upon 4672x us, because 5921x 3588x our God 430 [is] not 369x among 7130 us?

        31:18 And I 595x will surely 5641y 8687z hide 5641 8686z my face 6440 in that 1931x day 3117 for 5921x all 3605x the evils 7451 which 834x they shall have wrought, 6213 8804z in that 3588 they are turned 6437 8804z unto 413x other 312 gods. 430

        31:19 Now 6258x therefore write 3789 8798z 853x ye this 2063x song 7892 for you, and teach 3925 8761z it 853x the children 1121 of Israel: 3478 put 7760 8798z it in their mouths, 6310 that 4616x this 2063x song 7892 may be 1961x a witness 5707 for me against the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

        31:20 For 3588x when I shall have brought 935 8686z them into 413x the land 127 which 834x I sware 7650 8738z unto their fathers, 1 that floweth 2100 8802z with milk 2461 and honey; 1706 and they shall have eaten 398 8804z and filled 7646y 8804z themselves, 7646x and waxen fat; 1878 8804z then will they turn 6437 8804z unto 413x other 312 gods, 430 and serve 5647 8804z them, and provoke 5006 8765z me, and break 6565 8689z 853x my covenant. 1285

        31:21 And it shall come to pass, 1961x when 3588x many 7227 evils 7451 and troubles 6869 are befallen 4672 8799z them, that this 2063x song 7892 shall testify 6030 8804z against 6440 them as a witness; 5707 for 3588x it shall not 3808x be forgotten 7911 8735z out of the mouths 6310 4480x of their seed: 2233 for 3588x I know 3045 8804z 853x their imagination 3336 which 834x they 1931x go about, 6213 8802z even now, 3117 before 2962x I have brought 935 8686z them into 413x the land 776 which 834x I sware. 7650 8738z

        31:22 ¶ Moses 4872 therefore wrote 3789 8799z 853x this 2063x song 7892 the same 1931x day, 3117 and taught 3925 8762z it 853x the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

        31:23 And he gave 6680x 853x Joshua 3091 the son 1121 of Nun 5126 a charge, 6680y 8762z and said, 559 8799z Be strong 2388 8798z and of a good courage: 553 8798z for 3588x thou 859x shalt bring 935 8686z 853x the children 1121 of Israel 3478 into 413x the land 776 which 834x I sware 7650 8738z unto them: and I 595x will be 1961x with 5973x thee.

        31:24 ¶ And it came to pass, 1961x when Moses 4872 had made an end 3615 8763z of writing 3789 8800z 853x the words 1697 of this 2063x law 8451 in 5921x a book, 5612 until 5704x they were finished, 8552 8800z

        31:25 That Moses 4872 commanded 6680 8762z 853x the Levites, 3881 which bare 5375 8802z the ark 727 of the covenant 1285 of the LORD, 3068 saying, 559 8800z

        31:26 Take 3947 8800z 853x this 2088x book 5612 of the law, 8451 and put 7760 8804z it in the side 6654 4480x of the ark 727 of the covenant 1285 of the LORD 3068 your God, 430 that it may be 1961x there 8033x for a witness 5707 against thee.

        31:27 For 3588x I 595x know 3045 8804z 853x thy rebellion, 4805 and thy stiff 7186 neck: 6203 behold, 2005x while I am yet 5750x alive 2416 with 5973x you this day, 3117 ye have been 1961x rebellious 4784 8688z against 5973x the LORD; 3068 and how 3588x much more 637x after 310 my death? 4194

        31:28 ¶ Gather 6950 8685z unto 413x me 853x all 3605x the elders 2205 of your tribes, 7626 and your officers, 7860 8802z that I may speak 1696 8762z 853x these 428x words 1697 in their ears, 241 and call 5749 0z 853x heaven 8064 and earth 776 to record 5749y 8686z against them.

        31:29 For 3588x I know 3045 8804z that after 310 my death 4194 ye will utterly 7843y 8687z corrupt 7843 8686z [yourselves], and turn aside 5493 8804z from 4480x the way 1870 which 834x I have commanded 6680 8765z you; and evil 7451 will befall 7122 8804z you in the latter 319 days; 3117 because 3588x ye will do 6213 8799z 853x evil 7451 in the sight 5869 of the LORD, 3068 to provoke him to anger 3707 8687z through the work 4639 of your hands. 3027

        31:30 And Moses 4872 spake 1696 8762z in the ears 241 of all 3605x the congregation 6951 of Israel 3478 853x the words 1697 of this 2063x song, 7892 until 5704x they were ended. 8552 8800z
