Chapter 29

1  The sacrifice and ceremonies of consecrating the priests.  38  The continual burnt offering.  45  God's promise to dwell among the children of Israel.

29:1 ¶ And this (2088) [is] the thing {1697} that (834) thou shalt do {6213} <8799> unto them to hallow {6942} <8763> them, to minister unto me in the priest's office: {3547} <8763> Take {3947} <8798> one {259} young {1121} {1241} bullock, {6499} and two {8147} rams {352} without blemish, {8549}

29:2 And unleavened {4682} bread, {3899} and cakes {2471} unleavened {4682} tempered {1101} <8803> with oil, {8081} and wafers {7550} unleavened {4682} anointed {4886} <8803> with oil: {8081} [of] wheaten {2406} flour {5560} shalt thou make {6213} <8799> them.

29:3 And thou shalt put {5414} <8804> them into (5921) one {259} basket, {5536} and bring {7126} <8689> them in the basket, {5536} with the bullock {6499} and the two {8147} rams. {352}

29:4 And Aaron {175} and his sons {1121} thou shalt bring {7126} <8686> unto (413) the door {6607} of the tabernacle {168} of the congregation, {4150} and shalt wash {7364} <8804> them with water. {4325}

29:5 And thou shalt take {3947} <8804> (853) the garments, {899} and put [3847] <8689> upon (3847) (853) Aaron {175} (853) the coat, {3801} and the robe {4598} of the ephod, {646} and the ephod, {646} and the breastplate, {2833} and gird {640} <8804> him with the curious girdle {2805} of the ephod: {646}

29:6 And thou shalt put {7760} <8804> the mitre {4701} upon (5921) his head, {7218} and put {5414} <8804> (853) the holy {6944} crown {5145} upon (5921) the mitre. {4701}

29:7 Then shalt thou take {3947} <8804> (853) the anointing {4888} oil, {8081} and pour {3332} <8804> [it] upon (5921) his head, {7218} and anoint {4886} <8804> him.

29:8 And thou shalt bring {7126} <8686> his sons, {1121} and put [3847] <8689> coats [3801] upon (3847) (3801) them.

29:9 And thou shalt gird {2296} <8804> them with girdles, {73} Aaron {175} and his sons, {1121} and put {2280} <8804> the bonnets {4021} on them: and the priest's office {3550} shall be (1961) theirs for a perpetual {5769} statute: {2708} and thou shalt consecrate {4390} {3027} <8765> Aaron {175} and his sons. {1121}

29:10 And thou shalt cause (853) a bullock {6499} to be brought {7126} <8689> before {6440} the tabernacle {168} of the congregation: {4150} and Aaron {175} and his sons {1121} shall put {5564} <8804> (853) their hands {3027} upon (5921) the head {7218} of the bullock. {6499}

29:11 And thou shalt kill {7819} <8804> (853) the bullock {6499} before {6440} the LORD, {3068} [by] the door {6607} of the tabernacle {168} of the congregation. {4150}

29:12 And thou shalt take {3947} <8804> of the blood {1818} (4480) of the bullock, {6499} and put {5414} <8804> [it] upon (5921) the horns {7161} of the altar {4196} with thy finger, {676} and pour {8210} <8799> all (3605) the blood {1818} beside {413} the bottom {3247} of the altar. {4196}

29:13 And thou shalt take {3947} <8804> (853) all (3605) the fat {2459} that covereth {3680} <8764> (853) the inwards, {7130} and the caul {3508} [that is] above (5921) the liver, {3516} and the two {8147} kidneys, {3629} and the fat {2459} that (834) [is] upon (5921) them, and burn {6999} <8689> [them] upon the altar. {4196}

29:14 But the flesh {1320} of the bullock, {6499} and his skin, {5785} and his dung, {6569} shalt thou burn {8313} <8799> with fire {784} without {2351} (4480) the camp: {4264} it (1931) [is] a sin offering. {2403}

29:15 ¶ Thou shalt also take {3947} <8799> one {259} ram; {352} and Aaron {175} and his sons {1121} shall put {5564} <8804> (853) their hands {3027} upon (5921) the head {7218} of the ram. {352}

29:16 And thou shalt slay {7819} <8804> (853) the ram, {352} and thou shalt take {3947} <8804> (853) his blood, {1818} and sprinkle {2236} <8804> [it] round about {5439} upon (5921) the altar. {4196}

29:17 And thou shalt cut {5408} <8762> the ram {352} in pieces, {5409} and wash {7364} <8804> the inwards {7130} of him, and his legs, {3767} and put {5414} <8804> [them] unto (5921) his pieces, {5409} and unto (5921) his head. {7218}

29:18 And thou shalt burn {6999} <8689> (853) the whole (3605) ram {352} upon the altar: {4196} it (1931) [is] a burnt offering {5930} unto the LORD: {3068} it [is] a sweet {5207} savour, {7381} an offering made by fire {801} unto the LORD. {3068}

29:19 ¶ And thou shalt take {3947} <8804> (853) the other {8145} ram; {352} and Aaron {175} and his sons {1121} shall put {5564} <8804> (853) their hands {3027} upon (5921) the head {7218} of the ram. {352}

29:20 Then shalt thou kill {7819} <8804> (853) the ram, {352} and take {3947} <8804> of his blood, {1818} (4480) and put {5414} <8804> [it] upon (5921) the tip {8571} of the right ear {241} of Aaron, {175} and upon (5921) the tip {8571} of the right {3233} ear {241} of his sons, {1121} and upon (5921) the thumb {931} of their right {3233} hand, {3027} and upon (5921) the great toe {931} of their right {3233} foot, {7272} and sprinkle {2236} <8804> (853) the blood {1818} upon (5921) the altar {4196} round about. {5439}

29:21 And thou shalt take {3947} <8804> of (4480) the blood {1818} that (834) [is] upon (5921) the altar, {4196} and of the anointing [4888] oil, {8081} (4480) (4888) and sprinkle {5137} <8689> [it] upon (5921) Aaron, {175} and upon (5921) his garments, {899} and upon (5921) his sons, {1121} and upon (5921) the garments {899} of his sons {1121} with (854) him: and he (1931) shall be hallowed, {6942} <8804> and his garments, {899} and his sons, {1121} and his sons' {1121} garments {899} with (854) him.

29:22 Also thou shalt take {3947} <8804> of (4480) the ram {352} the fat {2459} and the rump, {451} and the fat {2459} that covereth {3680} <8764> (853) the inwards, {7130} and the caul {3508} [above] the liver, {3516} and the two {8147} kidneys, {3629} and the fat {2459} that (834) [is] upon (5921) them, and the right {3225} shoulder; {7785} for (3588) it (1931) [is] a ram {352} of consecration: {4394}

29:23 And one {259} loaf {3603} of bread, {3899} and one {259} cake {2471} of oiled {8081} bread, (3899) and one {259} wafer {7550} out of the basket {5536} (4480) of the unleavened bread {4682} that (834) [is] before {6440} the LORD: {3068}

29:24 And thou shalt put {7760} <8804> all (3605) in (5921) the hands {3709} of Aaron, {175} and in (5921) the hands {3709} of his sons; {1121} and shalt wave {5130} <8689> them [for] a wave offering {8573} before {6440} the LORD. {3068}

29:25 And thou shalt receive {3947} <8804> them of their hands, {3027} (4480) and burn {6999} <8689> [them] upon the altar {4196} for (5921) a burnt offering, {5930} for a sweet {5207} savour {7381} before {6440} the LORD: {3068} it (1931) [is] an offering made by fire {801} unto the LORD. {3068}

29:26 And thou shalt take {3947} <8804> (853) the breast {2373} of the ram {352} (4480) of Aaron's {175} consecration, {4394} and wave {5130} <8689> it [for] a wave offering {8573} before {6440} the LORD: {3068} and it shall be (1961) thy part. {4490}

29:27 And thou shalt sanctify {6942} <8765> (853) the breast {2373} of the wave offering, {8573} and the shoulder {7785} of the heave offering, {8641} which (834) is waved, {5130} <8717> and which (834) is heaved up, {7311} <8717> of the ram {352} (4480) of the consecration, {4394} [even] of [that] which {834} (4480) [is] for Aaron, {175} and of [that] which (4480) (834) is for his sons: {1121}

29:28 And it shall be (1961) Aaron's {175} and his sons' {1121} by a statute {2706} for ever {5769} from (4480) (854) the children {1121} of Israel: {3478} for (3588) it (1931) [is] an heave offering: {8641} and it shall be (1961) an heave offering {8641} from (4480) (854) the children {1121} of Israel {3478} of the sacrifice {2077} (4480) of their peace offerings, {8002} [even] their heave offering {8641} unto the LORD. {3068}

29:29 ¶ And the holy {6944} garments {899} of Aaron {175} shall be (1961) his sons' {1121} after {310} him, to be anointed [4888] (4886) therein, and to be consecrated {4390} {3027} <8763> (853) in them.

29:30 [And] that son {1121} (4480) that is priest {3548} in his stead (8478) shall put [3847] <8799> them on (3847) seven {7651} days, {3117} when (834) he cometh {935} <8799> into (413) the tabernacle {168} of the congregation {4150} to minister {8334} <8763> in the holy {6944} [place].

29:31 ¶ And thou shalt take {3947} <8799> the ram {352} of the consecration, {4394} and seethe {1310} <8765> (853) his flesh {1320} in the holy {6918} place. {4725}

29:32 And Aaron {175} and his sons {1121} shall eat {398} <8804> (853) the flesh {1320} of the ram, {352} and the bread {3899} that (834) [is] in the basket, {5536} [by] the door {6607} of the tabernacle {168} of the congregation. {4150}

29:33 And they shall eat {398} <8804> those things wherewith (834) the atonement was made, {3722} <8795> to consecrate {4390} {3027} <8763> (853) [and] to sanctify {6942} <8763> them: but a stranger {2114} <8801> shall not (3808) eat {398} <8799> [thereof], because (3588) they (1992) [are] holy. {6944}

29:34 And if (518) ought of the flesh {1320} (4480) of the consecrations, {4394} or of (4480) the bread, {3899} remain {3498} <8735> unto (5704) the morning, {1242} then thou shalt burn {8313} <8804> (853) the remainder {3498} <8737> with fire: {784} it shall not (3808) be eaten, {398} <8735> because (3588) it (1931) [is] holy. {6944}

29:35 And thus (3602) shalt thou do {6213} <8804> unto Aaron, {175} and to his sons, {1121} according to all (3605) [things] which (834) I have commanded {6680} <8765> thee: seven {7651} days {3117} shalt thou consecrate {4390} {3027} <8762> them.

29:36 And thou shalt offer {6213} <8799> every day {3117} a bullock {6499} [for] a sin offering {2403} for (5921) atonement: {3725} and thou shalt cleanse {2398} <8765> (5921) the altar, {4196} when thou hast made an atonement {3722} <8763> for (5921) it, and thou shalt anoint {4886} <8804> it, to sanctify {6942} <8763> it.

29:37 Seven {7651} days {3117} thou shalt make an atonement {3722} <8762> for (5921) the altar, {4196} and sanctify {6942} <8765> it; and it shall be (1961) an altar {4196} most holy: {6944} whatsoever (3605) toucheth {5060} <8802> the altar {4196} shall be holy. {6942} <8799>

29:38 ¶ Now this (2088) [is that] which (834) thou shalt offer {6213} <8799> upon (5921) the altar; {4196} two {8147} lambs {3532} of the first {1121} year {8141} day [3117] by day {3117} continually. {8548}

29:39 (853) The one {259} lamb {3532} thou shalt offer {6213} <8799> in the morning; {1242} and the other {8145} lamb {3532} thou shalt offer {6213} <8799> at (996) even: {6153}

29:40 And with the one {259} lamb {3532} a tenth [6241] deal (6241) of flour {5560} mingled {1101} <8803> with the fourth part {7253} of an hin {1969} of beaten {3795} oil; {8081} and the fourth part {7243} of an hin {1969} of wine {3196} [for] a drink offering. {5262}

29:41 And the other {8145} lamb {3532} thou shalt offer {6213} <8799> at (996) even, {6153} and shalt do {6213} <8799> thereto according to the meat offering {4503} of the morning, {1242} and according to the drink offering {5262} thereof, for a sweet {5207} savour, {7381} an offering made by fire {801} unto the LORD. {3068}

29:42 [This shall be] a continual {8548} burnt offering {5930} throughout your generations {1755} [at] the door {6607} of the tabernacle {168} of the congregation {4150} before {6440} the LORD: {3068} where (834) (8033) I will meet {3259} <8735> you, to speak {1696} <8763> there (8033) unto (413) thee.

29:43 And there (8033) I will meet {3259} <8738> with the children {1121} of Israel, {3478} and [the tabernacle] shall be sanctified {6942} <8738> by my glory. {3519}

29:44 And I will sanctify {6942} <8765> (853) the tabernacle {168} of the congregation, {4150} and the altar: {4196} I will sanctify {6942} <8762> also both Aaron {175} and his sons, {1121} to minister to me in the priest's office. {3547} <8763>

29:45 ¶ And I will dwell {7931} <8804> among {8432} the children {1121} of Israel, {3478} and will be (1961) their God. {430}

29:46 And they shall know {3045} <8804> that (3588) I (589) [am] the LORD {3068} their God, {430} that (834) brought them forth {3318} <8689> (853) out of the land {776} (4480) of Egypt, {4714} that I may dwell {7931} <8800> among {8432} them: I (589) [am] the LORD {3068} their God. {430}
