22:1 ¶ If (3588) a man {376} shall steal {1589} <8799> an ox, {7794} or (176) a sheep, {7716} and kill {2873} <8804> it, or (176) sell {4376} <8804> it; he shall restore {7999} <8762> five {2568} oxen {1241} for (8478) an ox, {7794} and four {702} sheep {6629} for (8478) a sheep. {7716}

22:2 ¶ If (518) a thief {1590} be found {4672} <8735> breaking up, {4290} and be smitten {5221} <8717> that he die, {4191} <8804> [there shall] no (369) blood {1818} [be shed] for him.

22:3 If (518) the sun {8121} be risen {2224} <8804> upon (5921) him, [there shall be] blood {1818} [shed] for him; [for] he should make full [7999] <8763> restitution; {7999} <8762> if (518) he have nothing, (369) then he shall be sold {4376} <8738> for his theft. {1591}

22:4 If (518) the theft {1591} be certainly [4672] <8736> found {4672} <8735> in his hand {3027} alive, {2416} whether it be ox, {7794} (4480) or (5704) ass, {2543} or (5704) sheep; {7716} he shall restore {7999} <8762> double. {8147}

22:5 ¶ If (3588) a man {376} shall cause a field {7704} or (176) vineyard {3754} to be eaten, {1197} <8686> and shall put [7971] <8765> in (7971) (853) his beast, {1165} and shall feed {1197} <8765> in another man's {312} field; {7704} of the best {4315} of his own field, {7704} and of the best {4315} of his own vineyard, {3754} shall he make restitution. {7999} <8762>

22:6 ¶ If (3588) fire {784} break out, {3318} <8799> and catch {4672} <8804> in thorns, {6975} so that the stacks of corn, {1430} or (176) the standing corn, {7054} or (176) the field, {7704} be consumed {398} <8738> [therewith]; he that kindled {1197} <8686> (853) the fire {1200} shall surely [7999] <8763> make restitution. {7999} <8762>

22:7 ¶ If (3588) a man {376} shall deliver {5414} <8799> unto (413) his neighbour {7453} money {3701} or (176) stuff {3627} to keep, {8104} <8800> and it be stolen {1589} <8795> out of the man's [376] house; {1004} (4480) (376) if (518) the thief {1590} be found, {4672} <8735> let him pay {7999} <8762> double. {8147}

22:8 If (518) the thief {1590} be not {3808} found, {4672} <8735> then the master {1167} of the house {1004} shall be brought {7126} <8738> unto (413) the judges, {430} [to see] whether (518) (3808) he have put {7971} <8804> his hand {3027} unto his neighbour's {7453} goods. {4399}

22:9 For (5921) all (3605) manner {1697} of trespass, {6588} [whether it be] for (5921) ox, {7794} for (5921) ass, {2543} for (5921) sheep, {7716} for (5921) raiment, {8008} [or] for (5921) any manner (3605) of lost thing, {9} which (834) [another] challengeth {559} <8799> to be his, (3588) (1931) (2088) the cause {1697} of both parties {8147} shall come {935} <8799> before (5704) the judges; {430} [and] whom (834) the judges {430} shall condemn, {7561} <8686> he shall pay {7999} <8762> double {8147} unto his neighbour. {7453}

22:10 If (3588) a man {376} deliver {5414} <8799> unto (413) his neighbour {7453} an ass, {2543} or (176) an ox, {7794} or (176) a sheep, {7716} or any (3605) beast, {929} to keep; {8104} <8800> and it die, {4191} <8804> or (176) be hurt, {7665} <8738> or (176) driven away, {7617} <8738> no man (369) seeing {7200} <8802> [it]:

22:11 [Then] shall an oath {7621} of the LORD {3068} be (1961) between (996) them both, {8147} that (518) he hath not (3808) put {7971} <8804> his hand {3027} unto his neighbour's {7453} goods; {4399} and the owner {1167} of it shall accept {3947} <8804> [thereof], and he shall not (3808) make [it] good. {7999} <8762>

22:12 And if (518) it be stolen {1589} <8800> <8735> from (4480) (5973) him, he shall make restitution {7999} <8762> unto the owner {1167} thereof.

22:13 If (518) it be torn in pieces, {2963} <8800> <8735> [then] let him bring {935} <8686> it [for] witness, {5707} [and] he shall not (3808) make good {7999} <8762> that which was torn. {2966}

22:14 ¶ And if (3588) a man {376} borrow {7592} <8799> [ought] of (4480) (5973) his neighbour, {7453} and it be hurt, {7665} <8738> or (176) die, {4191} <8804> the owner {1167} thereof [being] not (369) with (5973) it, [5973] he shall surely [7999] <8763> make [it] good. {7999} <8762>

22:15 [But] if (518) the owner {1167} thereof [be] with (5973) it, he shall not (3808) make [it] good: {7999} <8762> if (518) it (1931) [be] an hired {7916} [thing], it came {935} <8804> for his hire. {7939}

22:16 ¶ And if (3588) a man {376} entice {6601} <8762> a maid {1330} that (834) is not (3808) betrothed, {781} <8795> and lie {7901} <8804> with (5973) her, he shall surely [4117] <8800> endow {4117} <8799> her to be his wife. {802}

22:17 If (518) her father {1} utterly [3985] <8763> refuse {3985} <8762> to give {5414} <8800> her unto him, he shall pay {8254} <8799> money {3701} according to the dowry {4119} of virgins. {1330}

22:18 ¶ Thou shalt not (3808) suffer a witch [3784] <8764> to live. {2421} <8762> (3784)

22:19 ¶ Whosoever (3605) lieth {7901} <8802> with (5973) a beast {929} shall surely [4191] <8800> be put to death. {4191} <8714>

22:20 ¶ He that sacrificeth {2076} <8802> unto [any] god, {430} save {1115} unto the LORD {3068} only, (905) he shall be utterly destroyed. {2763} <8714>

22:21 ¶ Thou shalt neither (3808) vex {3238} <8686> a stranger, {1616} nor (3808) oppress {3905} <8799> him: for (3588) ye were (1961) strangers {1616} in the land {776} of Egypt. {4714}

22:22 ¶ Ye shall not (3808) afflict {6031} <8762> any (3605) widow, {490} or fatherless child. {3490}

22:23 If {518} thou afflict [6031] <8762> them in any wise, {6031} <8763> (853) and (3588) they cry [6817] <8799> at all {6817} <8800> unto (413) me, I will surely [8085] <8800> hear {8085} <8799> their cry; {6818}

22:24 And my wrath {639} shall wax hot, {2734} <8804> and I will kill {2026} <8804> you with the sword; {2719} and your wives {802} shall be (1961) widows, {490} and your children {1121} fatherless. {3490}

22:25 ¶ If (518) thou lend {3867} <8686> money {3701} to [any of] (853) my people {5971} [that is] (853) poor {6041} by (5973) thee, thou shalt not (3808) be (1961) to him as an usurer, {5383} <8802> neither (3808) shalt thou lay {7760} <8799> upon (5921) him usury. {5392}

22:26 If (518) thou at all [2254] <8800> take [2254] <0> thy neighbour's [7453] raiment [8008] to pledge, {2254} <8799> (7453) (8008) thou shalt deliver {7725} <8686> it unto him by [5704] that (5704) the sun {8121} goeth down: {935} <8800>

22:27 For (3588) that (1931) [is] his covering {3682} only, (905) it (1931) [is] his raiment {8071} for his skin: {5785} wherein (4100) shall he sleep? {7901} <8799> and it shall come to pass, (1961) when (3588) he crieth {6817} <8799> unto (413) me, that I will hear; {8085} <8804> for (3588) I (589) [am] gracious. {2587}

22:28 ¶ Thou shalt not (3808) revile {7043} <8762> the gods, {430} nor (3808) curse {779} <8799> the ruler {5387} of thy people. {5971}

22:29 ¶ Thou shalt not (3808) delay {309} <8762> [to offer] the first of thy ripe fruits, {4395} and of thy liquors: {1831} the firstborn {1060} of thy sons {1121} shalt thou give {5414} <8799> unto me.

22:30 Likewise {3651} shalt thou do {6213} <8799> with thine oxen, {7794} [and] with thy sheep: {6629} seven {7651} days {3117} it shall be (1961) with (5973) his dam; {517} on the eighth {8066} day {3117} thou shalt give {5414} <8799> it me.

22:31 ¶ And ye shall be (1961) holy {6944} men [582] (376) unto me: neither (3808) shall ye eat {398} <8799> [any] flesh {1320} [that is] torn of beasts {2966} in the field; {7704} ye shall cast {7993} <8686> it to the dogs. {3611}
