Ezekiel

Chapter 25

1  God's vengeance, for their insolency against the Jews, upon the Ammonites,  8  upon Moab and Seir,  12  upon Edom,  15  and upon the Philistines.

25:1 ¶ The word {1697} of the LORD {3068} came (1961) again unto (413) me, saying, {559} <8800>

25:2 Son {1121} of man, {120} set {7760} <8798> thy face {6440} against (413) the Ammonites, {1121} {5983} and prophesy {5012} <8734> against (5921) them;

25:3 And say {559} <8804> unto the Ammonites, {1121} {5983} Hear {8085} <8798> the word {1697} of the Lord {136} GOD; {3069} Thus (3541) saith {559} <8804> the Lord {136} GOD; {3069} Because (3282) thou saidst, {559} <8800> Aha, {1889} against (413) my sanctuary, {4720} when (3588) it was profaned; {2490} <8738> and against (413) the land {127} of Israel, {3478} when (3588) it was desolate; {8074} <8738> and against (413) the house {1004} of Judah, {3063} when (3588) they went {1980} <8804> into captivity; {1473}

25:4 Behold, (2009) therefore (3651) I will deliver {5414} <8802> thee to the men {1121} of the east {6924} for a possession, {4181} and they shall set {3427} <8765> their palaces {2918} in thee, and make {5414} <8804> their dwellings {4908} in thee: they (1992) shall eat {398} <8799> thy fruit, {6529} and they (1992) shall drink {8354} <8799> thy milk. {2461}

25:5 And I will make {5414} <8804> (853) Rabbah {7237} a stable {5116} for camels, {1581} and the Ammonites {1121} {5983} a couchingplace {4769} for flocks: {6629} and ye shall know {3045} <8804> that (3588) I (589) [am] the LORD. {3068}

25:6 For (3588) thus (3541) saith {559} <8804> the Lord {136} GOD; {3069} Because (3282) thou hast clapped {4222} <8763> [thine] hands, {3027} and stamped {7554} <8800> with the feet, {7272} and rejoiced {8055} <8799> in heart {5315} with all (3605) thy despite {7589} against (413) the land {127} of Israel; {3478}

25:7 Behold, (2009) therefore (3651) I will stretch out {5186} <8804> (853) mine hand {3027} upon (5921) thee, and will deliver {5414} <8804> thee for a spoil {957} k8675- [897] to the heathen; {1471} and I will cut thee off {3772} <8689> from (4480) the people, {5971} and I will cause thee to perish {6} <8689> out of (4480) the countries: {776} I will destroy {8045} <8686> thee; and thou shalt know {3045} <8804> that (3588) I (589) [am] the LORD. {3068}

25:8 ¶ Thus (3541) saith {559} <8804> the Lord {136} GOD; {3069} Because [3282] that (3282) Moab {4124} and Seir {8165} do say, {559} <8800> Behold, (2009) the house {1004} of Judah {3063} [is] like unto all (3605) the heathen; {1471}

25:9 Therefore, (3651) behold, (2009) I will open {6605} <8802> (853) the side {3802} of Moab {4124} from the cities, {5892} (4480) from his cities {5892} (4480) [which are] on his frontiers, {7097} (4480) the glory {6643} of the country, {776} Bethjeshimoth, {1020} Baalmeon, {1186} and Kiriathaim, {7156}

25:10 Unto the men {1121} of the east {6924} with (5921) the Ammonites, {1121} {5983} and will give {5414} <8804> them in possession, {4181} that (4616) the Ammonites {1121} {5983} may not (3808) be remembered {2142} <8735> among the nations. {1471}

25:11 And I will execute {6213} <8799> judgments {8201} upon Moab; {4124} and they shall know {3045} <8804> that (3588) I (589) [am] the LORD. {3068}

25:12 ¶ Thus (3541) saith {559} <8804> the Lord {136} GOD; {3069} Because that (3282) Edom {123} hath dealt {6213} <8800> against the house {1004} of Judah {3063} by taking {5358} <8800> vengeance, {5359} and hath greatly [816] <8800> offended, {816} <8799> and revenged [5358] <8738> himself (5358) upon them;

25:13 Therefore (3651) thus (3541) saith {559} <8804> the Lord {136} GOD; {3069} I will also stretch out {5186} <8804> mine hand {3027} upon (5921) Edom, {123} and will cut off {3772} <8689> man {120} and beast {929} from (4480) it; and I will make {5414} <8804> it desolate {2723} from Teman; {8487} (4480) and they of Dedan {1719} shall fall {5307} <8799> by the sword. {2719}

25:14 And I will lay {5414} <8804> (853) my vengeance {5360} upon Edom {123} by the hand {3027} of my people {5971} Israel: {3478} and they shall do {6213} <8804> in Edom {123} according to mine anger {639} and according to my fury; {2534} and they shall know {3045} <8804> (853) my vengeance, {5360} saith {5002} <8803> the Lord {136} GOD. {3069}

25:15 ¶ Thus (3541) saith {559} <8804> the Lord {136} GOD; {3069} Because (3282) the Philistines {6430} have dealt {6213} <8800> by revenge, {5360} and have taken {5358} <8735> vengeance {5359} with a despiteful {7589} heart, {5315} to destroy {4889} [it] for the old {5769} hatred; {342}

25:16 Therefore (3651) thus (3541) saith {559} <8804> the Lord {136} GOD; {3069} Behold, (2009) I will stretch out {5186} <8802> mine hand {3027} upon (5921) the Philistines, {6430} and I will cut off {3772} <8689> (853) the Cherethims, {3774} and destroy {6} <8689> (853) the remnant {7611} of the sea {3220} coast. {2348}

25:17 And I will execute {6213} <8804> great {1419} vengeance {5360} upon them with furious {2534} rebukes; {8433} and they shall know {3045} <8804> that (3588) I (589) [am] the LORD, {3068} when I shall lay {5414} <8800> (853) my vengeance {5360} upon them.
