Chapter 34

1  A reproof of the shepherds.  7  God's judgment against them.  11  His providence for his flock.  20  The Kingdom of Christ.

        34:1 ¶ And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961x unto 413x me, saying, 559 8800z

        34:2 Son 1121 of man, 120 prophesy 5012 8734z against 5921x the shepherds 7462 8802z of Israel, 3478 prophesy, 5012 8734z and say 559 8804z unto 413x them, Thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the Lord 136 GOD 3069 unto the shepherds; 7462 8802z Woe 1945 [be] to the shepherds 7462 8802z of Israel 3478 that 834x do feed 7462 8802z 1961x themselves! should not 3808x the shepherds 7462 8802z feed 7462 8799z the flocks? 6629

        34:3 Ye eat 398 8799z 853x the fat, 2459 and ye clothe 3847 8799z you with 854x the wool, 6785 ye kill 2076 8799z them that are fed: 1277 [but] ye feed 7462 8799z not 3808x the flock. 6629

        34:4 853x The diseased 2470 8737z have ye not 3808x strengthened, 2388 8765z neither 3808x have ye healed 7495 8765z that which was sick, 2470 8802z neither 3808x have ye bound up 2280 8804z [that which was] broken, 7665 8737z neither 3808x have ye brought again 7725 8689z that which was driven away, 5080 8737z neither 3808x have ye sought 1245 8765z that which was lost; 6 8802z but with force 2394 and with cruelty 6531 have ye ruled 7287 8804z them.

        34:5 And they were scattered, 6327 8799z because [there is] no 4480x 1097x shepherd: 7462 8802z and they became 1961x meat 402 to all 3605x the beasts 2416 of the field, 7704 when they were scattered. 6327 8799z

        34:6 My sheep 6629 wandered 7686 8799z through all 3605x the mountains, 2022 and upon 5921x every 3605x high 7311 8802z hill: 1389 yea, my flock 6629 was scattered 6327 8738z upon 5921x all 3605x the face 6440 of the earth, 776 and none 369x did search 1875 8802z or seek 1245 8764z [after them].

        34:7 ¶ Therefore, 3651x ye shepherds, 7462 8802z hear 8085 8798z 853x the word 1697 of the LORD; 3068

        34:8 [As] I 589x live, 2416 saith 5002 8803z the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 surely 518x 3808x because 3282x my flock 6629 became 1961x a prey, 957 and my flock 6629 became 1961x meat 402 to every 3605x beast 2416 of the field, 7704 because [there was] no 4480x 369x shepherd, 7462 8802z neither 3808x did my shepherds 7462 8802z search 1875 8804z 853x for my flock, 6629 but the shepherds 7462 8802z fed 7462 8799z themselves, and fed 7462 8804z not 3808x my flock; 6629

        34:9 Therefore, 3651x O ye shepherds, 7462 8802z hear 8085 8798z the word 1697 of the LORD; 3068

        34:10 Thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the Lord 136 GOD; 3069 Behold, 2009x I [am] against 413x the shepherds; 7462 8802z and I will require 1875 8804z 853x my flock 6629 at their hand, 3027 4480x and cause them to cease 7673 8689z from feeding 7462 8800z 4480x the flock; 6629 neither 3808x shall the shepherds 7462 8802z feed 7462 8799z themselves any more; 5750x for I will deliver 5337 8689z my flock 6629 from their mouth, 6310 4480x that they may not 3808x be 1961x meat 402 for them.

        34:11 ¶ For 3588x thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the Lord 136 GOD; 3069 Behold, 2009x I, [even] I, 589x will both search 1875 8804z 853x my sheep, 6629 and seek them out. 1239 8765z

        34:12 As a shepherd 7462 8802z seeketh out 1243 his flock 5739 in the day 3117 that he is 1961x among 8432 his sheep 6629 [that are] scattered; 6567y 8737z 6566x so 3651x will I seek out 1239 8762z 853x my sheep, 6629 and will deliver 5337 8689z them out of all 4480x 3605x places 4725 where 834x 8033x they have been scattered 6327 8738z in the cloudy 6051 and dark 6205 day. 3117

        34:13 And I will bring them out 3318 8689z from 4480x the people, 5971 and gather 6908 8765z them from 4480x the countries, 776 and will bring 935 8689z them to 413x their own land, 127 and feed 7462 8804z them upon 413x the mountains 2022 of Israel 3478 by the rivers, 650 and in all 3605x the inhabited places 4186 of the country. 776

        34:14 I will feed 7462 8799z them in a good 2896 pasture, 4829 and upon the high 4791 mountains 2022 of Israel 3478 shall their fold 5116 be: 1961x there 8033x shall they lie 7257 8799z in a good 2896 fold, 5116 and [in] a fat 8082 pasture 4829 shall they feed 7462 8799z upon 413x the mountains 2022 of Israel. 3478

        34:15 I 589x will feed 7462 8799z my flock, 6629 and I 589x will cause them to lie down, 7257 8686z saith 5002 8803z the Lord 136 GOD. 3069

        34:16 I will seek 1245 8762z 853x that which was lost, 6 8802z and bring again 7725 8686z that which was driven away, 5080 8737z and will bind up 2280 8799z [that which was] broken, 7665 8737z and will strengthen 2388 8762z that which was sick: 2470 8802z but I will destroy 8045 8686z the fat 8082 and the strong; 2389 I will feed 7462 8799z them with judgment. 4941

        34:17 And [as for] you, 859 O my flock, 6629 thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the Lord 136 GOD; 3069 Behold, 2009x I judge 8199 8802z between 996x cattle 7716 and cattle, 7716 between the rams 352 and the he goats. 6260

        34:18 [Seemeth it] a small thing 4592 unto 4480x you to have eaten up 7462 8799z the good 2896 pasture, 4829 but ye must tread down 7429 8799z with your feet 7272 the residue 3499 of your pastures? 4829 and to have drunk 8354 8799z of the deep 4950 waters, 4325 but ye must foul 7515 8799z the residue 3498 8737z with your feet? 7272

        34:19 And [as for] my flock, 6629 they eat 7462 8799z that which ye have trodden 4823 with your feet; 7272 and they drink 8354 8799z that which ye have fouled 4833 with your feet. 7272

        34:20 ¶ Therefore 3651x thus 3541x saith 559 8804z the Lord 136 GOD 3069 unto 413x them; Behold, 2009x I, 589x [even] I, will judge 8199 8804z between 996x the fat 1274y 1277x cattle 7716 and between 996x the lean 7330 cattle. 7716

        34:21 Because 3282x ye have thrust 1920 8799z with side 6654 and with shoulder, 3802 and pushed 5055 8762z all 3605x the diseased 2470 8737z with your horns, 7161 till 5704x 834x ye have scattered 6327 8689z them abroad; 2351 413x

        34:22 Therefore will I save 3467 8689z my flock, 6629 and they shall no 3808x more 5750x be 1961x a prey; 957 and I will judge 8199 8804z between 996x cattle 7716 and cattle. 7716

        34:23 And I will set up 6965 8689z one 259 shepherd 7462 8802z over 5921x them, and he shall feed 7462 8804z them, [even] 853x my servant 5650 David; 1732 he shall feed 7462 8799z them, and he 1931x shall be 1961x their shepherd. 7462 8802z

        34:24 And I 589x the LORD 3068 will be 1961x their God, 430 and my servant 5650 David 1732 a prince 5387 among 8432 them; I 589x the LORD 3068 have spoken 1696 8765z [it].

        34:25 And I will make 3772 8804z with them a covenant 1285 of peace, 7965 and will cause the evil 7451 beasts 2416 to cease 7673 8689z out of 4480x the land: 776 and they shall dwell 3427 8804z safely 983 in the wilderness, 4057 and sleep 3462 8804z in the woods. 3293 8675z 3264y

        34:26 And I will make 5414 8804z them and the places round about 5439 my hill 1389 a blessing; 1293 and I will cause the shower 1653 to come down 3381 8689z in his season; 6256 there shall be 1961x showers 1653 of blessing. 1293

        34:27 And the tree 6086 of the field 7704 shall yield 5414 8804z 853x her fruit, 6529 and the earth 776 shall yield 5414 8799z her increase, 2981 and they shall be 1961x safe 983 in 5921x their land, 127 and shall know 3045 8804z that 3588x I 589x [am] the LORD, 3068 when I have broken 7665 8800z 853x the bands 4133 of their yoke, 5923 and delivered 5337 8689z them out of the hand 3027 4480x of those that served 5647 8802z themselves of them.

        34:28 And they shall no 3808x more 5750x be 1961x a prey 957 to the heathen, 1471 neither 3808x shall the beast 2416 of the land 776 devour 398 8799z them; but they shall dwell 3427 8804z safely, 983 and none 369x shall make [them] afraid. 2729 8688z

        34:29 And I will raise up 6965 8689z for them a plant 4302 of renown, 8034 and they shall be 1961x no 3808x more 5750x consumed 622 8803z with hunger 7458 in the land, 776 neither 3808x bear 5375 8799z the shame 3639 of the heathen 1471 any more. 5750x

        34:30 Thus shall they know 3045 8804z that 3588x I 589x the LORD 3068 their God 430 [am] with 854x them, and [that] they, 1992x [even] the house 1004 of Israel, 3478 [are] my people, 5971 saith 5002 8803z the Lord 136 GOD. 3069

        34:31 And ye 859 my flock, 6629 the flock 6629 of my pasture, 4830 [are] men, 120 [and] I 589x [am] your God, 430 saith 5002 8803z the Lord 136 GOD. 3069
