Chapter 7

1  Noah, with his family, and the living creatures, enter into the ark.  17  The beginning, increase, and continuance of the flood.

7:1 ¶ And the LORD {3068} said {559} <8799> unto Noah, {5146} Come {935} <8798> thou (859) and all (3605) thy house {1004} into (413) the ark; {8392} for (3588) thee have I seen {7200} <8804> righteous {6662} before (6440) me [6440] in this {2088} generation. {1755}

7:2 Of every (4480) (3605) clean {2889} beast {929} thou shalt take {3947} <8799> to thee by sevens, {7651} the male {376} and his female: {802} and of (4480) beasts {929} that (834) [are] not (3808) clean {2889} [1931] by two, {8147} the male {376} and his female. {802}

7:3 Of fowls {5775} (4480) also (1571) of the air {8064} by sevens, {7651} the male {2145} and the female; {5347} to keep [2421] <0> seed {2233} alive {2421} <8763> upon (5921) the face {6440} of all (3605) the earth. {776}

7:4 For (3588) yet {5750} seven {7651} days, {3117} and I (595) will cause it to rain {4305} <8688> upon (5921) the earth {776} forty {705} days {3117} and forty {705} nights; {3915} and (853) every {3605} living substance {3351} that (834) I have made {6213} <8804> will I destroy {4229} <8804> from off {5921} (4480) the face {6440} of the earth. {127}

7:5 And Noah {5146} did {6213} <8799> according unto all (3605) that (834) the LORD {3068} commanded {6680} <8765> him.

7:6 And Noah {5146} [was] six {8337} hundred {3967} years {8141} old {1121} when the flood {3999} of waters {4325} was (1961) upon (5921) the earth. {776}

7:7 ¶ And Noah {5146} went in, {935} <8799> and his sons, {1121} and his wife, {802} and his sons' {1121} wives {802} with (854) him, into (413) the ark, {8392} because (4480) (6440) of [6440] the waters {4325} of the flood. {3999}

7:8 Of (4480) clean {2889} beasts, {929} and of (4480) beasts {929} that (834) [are] not (369) clean, {2889} and of (4480) fowls, {5775} and of every thing (3605) that (834) creepeth {7430} <8802> upon (5921) the earth, {127}

7:9 There went in {935} <8804> two {8147} and two {8147} unto (413) Noah {5146} into (413) the ark, {8392} the male {2145} and the female, {5347} as {834} God {430} had commanded {6680} <8765> (853) Noah. {5146}

7:10 And it came to pass (1961) after seven {7651} days, {3117} that the waters {4325} of the flood {3999} were (1961) upon (5921) the earth. {776}

7:11 ¶ In [8141] the six {8337} hundredth {3967} year {8141} of Noah's {5146} life, {2416} in the second {8145} month, {2320} the seventeenth {7651} {6240} day {3117} of the month, {2320} the same [2088] (2320) day {3117} were all (3605) the fountains {4599} of the great {7227} deep {8415} broken up, {1234} <8738> and the windows {699} of heaven {8064} were opened. {6605} <8738>

7:12 And the rain {1653} was (1961) upon (5921) the earth {776} forty {705} days {3117} and forty {705} nights. {3915}

7:13 In the selfsame {6106} (2088) day {3117} entered {935} <8804> Noah, {5146} and Shem, {8035} and Ham, {2526} and Japheth, {3315} the sons {1121} of Noah, {5146} and Noah's {5146} wife, {802} and the three {7969} wives {802} of his sons {1121} with (854) them, into (413) the ark; {8392}

7:14 They, {1992} and every (3605) beast {2416} after his kind, {4327} and all (3605) the cattle {929} after their kind, {4327} and every (3605) creeping thing {7431} that creepeth {7430} <8802> upon (5921) the earth {776} after his kind, {4327} and every (3605) fowl {5775} after his kind, {4327} every (3605) bird {6833} of every (3605) sort. {3671}

7:15 And they went in {935} <8799> unto (413) Noah {5146} into (413) the ark, {8392} two {8147} and two {8147} of all (4480) (3605) flesh, {1320} wherein {834} [is] the breath {7307} of life. {2416}

7:16 And they that went in, {935} <8802> went in {935} <8804> male {2145} and female {5347} of all (4480) (3605) flesh, {1320} as (834) God {430} had commanded {6680} <8765> him: and the LORD {3068} shut him in. {5462} <8799> (1157)

7:17 And the flood {3999} was (1961) forty {705} days {3117} upon (5921) the earth; {776} and the waters {4325} increased, {7235} <8799> and bare up {5375} <8799> (853) the ark, {8392} and it was lift up {7311} <8799> above (4480) (5921) the earth. {776}

7:18 And the waters {4325} prevailed, {1396} <8799> and were increased {7235} <8799> greatly {3966} upon (5921) the earth; {776} and the ark {8392} went [3212] <8799> (1980) upon (5921) the face {6440} of the waters. {4325}

7:19 And the waters {4325} prevailed {1396} <8804> exceedingly {3966} upon (5921) the earth; {776} and all (3605) the high {1364} hills, {2022} that (834) [were] under {8478} the whole (3605) heaven, {8064} were covered. {3680} <8792>

7:20 Fifteen {6240} {2568} cubits {520} upward {4605} (4480) did the waters {4325} prevail; {1396} <8804> and the mountains {2022} were covered. {3680} <8792>

7:21 And all (3605) flesh {1320} died {1478} <8799> that moved {7430} <8802> upon (5921) the earth, {776} both of fowl, {5775} and of cattle, {929} and of beast, {2416} and of every (3605) creeping thing {8318} that creepeth {8317} <8802> upon (5921) the earth, {776} and every (3605) man: {120}

7:22 All (3605) in whose nostrils {639} [was] the breath {5397} {7307} of life, {2416} of all (4480) (3605) that (834) [was] in the dry {2724} [land], died. {4191} <8804>

7:23 And (853) every (3605) living substance {3351} was destroyed {4229} <8735> which (834) was upon (5921) the face {6440} of the ground, {127} both man, {120} (4480) and (5704) cattle, {929} and (5704) the creeping things, {7431} and (5704) the fowl {5775} of the heaven; {8064} and they were destroyed {4229} <8735> from (4480) the earth: {776} and Noah {5146} only {389} remained {7604} <8735> [alive], and they that {834} [were] with (854) him in the ark. {8392}

7:24 And the waters {4325} prevailed {1396} <8799> upon (5921) the earth {776} an hundred {3967} and fifty {2572} days. {3117}
