Chapter 21

1  Christ appearing again to his disciples was known of them by the great draught of fishes.  12  He dineth with them:  15  earnestly commandeth Peter to feed his lambs and sheep:  18  foretelleth him of his death:  22  rebuketh his curiosity touching John.  25  The conclusion.

21:1 ¶ After {3326} these things {5023} Jesus {2424} shewed {5319} <5656> himself {1438} again {3825} to the (3588) disciples {3101} at {1909} the (3588) sea {2281} of Tiberias; {5085} and {1161} on this wise {3779} shewed {5319} <5656> he [himself].

21:3 Simon {4613} Peter {4074} saith {3004} <5719> unto them, {846} I go {5217} <5719> a fishing. {232} <5721> They say {3004} <5719> unto him, {846} We {2249} also {2532} go {2064} <5736> with {4862} thee. {4671} They went forth, {1831} <5627> and {2532} entered {305} <5627> into {1519} a ship {4143} immediately; {2117} and {2532} that {1565} [1722] night {3571} they caught {4084} <5656> nothing. {3762}

21:4 But {1161} when the morning {4405} was [1096] <0> now {2235} come, {1096} <5637> Jesus {2424} stood {2476} <5627> on {1519} the (3588) shore: {123} but {3305} the (3588) disciples {3101} knew {1492} <5715> not {3756} that {3754} it was {2076} <5748> Jesus. {2424}

21:9 As soon [5613] then [3767] as (5613) (3767) they were come {576} <5627> to {1519} land, {1093} they saw {991} <5719> a fire of coals {439} there, (2749) and {2532} fish {3795} laid [2749] <5740> thereon, {1945} <5740> and {2532} bread. {740}

21:10 Jesus {2424} saith {3004} <5719> unto them, {846} Bring {5342} <5657> of {575} the (3588) fish {3795} which {3739} ye have [4084] <0> now {3568} caught. {4084} <5656>

21:11 Simon {4613} Peter {4074} went up, {305} <5627> and {2532} drew {1670} <5656> the (3588) net {1350} to {1909} land {1093} full {3324} of great {3173} fishes, {2486} an hundred [1540] and fifty [4004] and three: {5140} (1540) (4004) and {2532} for all there were (5607) so many, {5118} yet was [5607] <5752> not {3756} the (3588) net {1350} broken. {4977} <5681>

21:12 Jesus {2424} saith {3004} <5719> unto them, {846} Come {1205} <5773> [and] dine. {709} <5657> And {1161} none {3762} of the (3588) disciples {3101} durst {5111} <5707> ask {1833} <5658> him, {846} Who {5101} art {1488} <5748> thou? {4771} knowing {1492} <5761> that {3754} it was {2076} <5748> the (3588) Lord. {2962}

21:13 Jesus {2424} then {3767} cometh, {2064} <5736> and {2532} taketh {2983} <5719> bread, {740} and {2532} giveth {1325} <5719> them, {846} and {2532} fish {3795} likewise. {3668}

21:14 This {5124} is [5319] <0> now {2235} the third time {5154} that Jesus {2424} shewed (5319) himself [5319] <5681> to his [846] (848) disciples, {3101} after that he was risen {1453} <5685> from {1537} the dead. {3498}

21:15 ¶ So {3767} when {3753} they had dined, {709} <5656> Jesus {2424} saith {3004} <5719> to Simon {4613} Peter, {4074} Simon, {4613} [son] of Jonas, {2495} lovest (25) thou [25] <5719> me {3165} more (4119) than [4119] these? 21:19 {1161} This {5124} spake (2036) he, [2036] <5627> signifying {4591} <5723> by what {4169} death {2288} he should glorify {1392} <5692> God. {2316} And {2532} when he had spoken {2036} <5631> this, {5124} he saith {3004} <5719> unto him, {846} Follow {190} <5720> me. {3427}

21:20 Then {1161} Peter, {4074} turning about, {1994} <5651> seeth {991} <5719> the (3588) disciple {3101} whom {3739} Jesus {2424} loved {25} <5707> following; {190} <5723> which {3739} also {2532} leaned {377} <5627> on {1909} his {846} breast {4738} at {1722} supper, {1173} and {2532} said, {2036} <5627> Lord, {2962} which {5101} is (2076) he [2076] <5748> that betrayeth {3860} <5723> thee? {4571}

21:21 Peter {4074} seeing {1492} <5631> him {5126} saith {3004} <5719> to Jesus, {2424} Lord, {2962} and {1161} what {5101} [shall] this man {3778} [do]?

21:22 Jesus {2424} saith {3004} <5719> unto him, {846} If {1437} I will {2309} <5725> that he {846} tarry {3306} <5721> till {2193} I come, {2064} <5736> what {5101} [is that] to {4314} thee? {4571} follow {190} <5720> thou {4771} me. {3427}

21:24 This {3778} is {2076} <5748> the (3588) disciple {3101} which [3588] testifieth {3140} <5723> of {4012} these things, [5130] (5023) and {2532} wrote {1125} <5660> these things: {5023} and {2532} we know {1492} <5758> that {3754} his {846} testimony {3141} is {2076} <5748> true. {227}

21:25 And {1161} there are {2076} <5748> also {2532} many {4183} other things {243} which {3745} Jesus {2424} did, {4160} <5656> the which, {3748} if {1437} they should be written {1125} <5747> every [2596] one, {1520} (2596) I suppose {3633} <5736> that even [3761] <0> the (3588) world {2889} itself {846} could not {3761} contain {5562} <5658> the (3588) books {975} that should be written. {1125} <5746> Amen. {281}
