Chapter 4

1  Solomon, to persuade obedience,  3  sheweth what instruction he had of his parents,  5  to study wisdom,  14  and to shun the path of the wicked.  20  He exhorteth to faith,  23  and sanctification.

        4:1 ¶ Hear, 8085 8798z ye children, 1121 the instruction 4148 of a father, 1 and attend 7181 8685z to know 3045 8800z understanding. 998

        4:5 Get 7069 8798z wisdom, 2451 get 7069 8798z understanding: 998 forget 7911 8799z [it] not; 408x neither 408x decline 5186 8799z from the words 561 4480x of my mouth. 6310

        4:6 Forsake 5800 8799z her not, 408x and she shall preserve 8104 8799z thee: love 157 8798z her, and she shall keep 5341 8799z thee.

        4:7 Wisdom 2451 [is] the principal thing; 7225 [therefore] get 7069 8798z wisdom: 2451 and with all 3605x thy getting 7075 get 7069x understanding. 998

        4:8 Exalt 5549 8769z her, and she shall promote 7311 8787z thee: she shall bring thee to honour, 3513 8762z when 3588x thou dost embrace 2263 8762z her.

        4:9 She shall give 5414 8799z to thine head 7218 an ornament 3880 of grace: 2580 a crown 5850 of glory 8597 shall she deliver 4042 8762z to thee.

        4:10 Hear, 8085 8798z O my son, 1121 and receive 3947 8798z my sayings; 561 and the years 8141 of thy life 2416 shall be many. 7235 8799z

        4:11 I have taught 3384 8689z thee in the way 1870 of wisdom; 2451 I have led 1869 8689z thee in right 3476 paths. 4570

        4:12 When thou goest, 3212y 8800z 1980x thy steps 6806 shall not 3808x be straitened; 3334 8799z and when 518x thou runnest, 7323 8799z thou shalt not 3808x stumble. 3782 8735z

        4:13 Take fast hold 2388 8685z of instruction; 4148 let [her] not 408x go: 7503 8686z keep 5341 8798z her; for 3588x she 1931x [is] thy life. 2416

        4:14 ¶ Enter 935 8799z not 408x into the path 734 of the wicked, 7563 and go 833 8762z not 408x in the way 1870 of evil 7451 [men].

        4:15 Avoid 6544 8798z it, pass 5674 8799z not 408x by it, turn 7847 8798z from 4480x 5921x it, and pass away. 5674 8798z

        4:16 For 3588x they sleep 3462 8799z not, 3808x except 518x 3808x they have done mischief; 7489 8686z and their sleep 8142 is taken away, 1497 8738z unless 518x 3808x they cause [some] to fall. 3782 8686z 8675z 8799z

        4:19 The way 1870 of the wicked 7563 [is] as darkness: 653 they know 3045 8804z not 3808x at what 4100x they stumble. 3782 8735z

        4:20 ¶ My son, 1121 attend 7181 8685z to my words; 1697 incline 5186 8685z thine ear 241 unto my sayings. 561

        4:21 Let them not 408x depart 3868 8686z from thine eyes; 5869 4480x keep 8104 8798z them in the midst 8432 of thine heart. 3824

        4:22 For 3588x they 1992x [are] life 2416 unto those that find 4672 8802z them, and health 4832 to all 3605x their flesh. 1320

        4:23 ¶ Keep 5341 8798z thy heart 3820 with all 4480x 3605x diligence; 4929 for 3588x out of 4480x it [are] the issues 8444 of life. 2416

        4:24 Put away 5493 8685z from 4480x thee a froward 6143 mouth, 6310 and perverse 3891 lips 8193 put far 7368 8685z from 4480x thee.

        4:25 Let thine eyes 5869 look 5027 8686z right on, 5227 and let thine eyelids 6079 look straight 3474 8686z before 5048x thee.

        4:26 Ponder 6424 8761z the path 4570 of thy feet, 7272 and let all 3605x thy ways 1870 be established. 3559 8735z
