Chapter 18

David praiseth God for his manifold and marvellous blessings.

        18:1 ¶ [[To the chief Musician, 5329 8764z [A Psalm] of David, 1732 the servant 5650 of the LORD, 3068 who 834x spake 1696 8765z unto the LORD 3068 853x the words 1697 of this 2063x song 7892 in the day 3117 [that] the LORD 3068 delivered 5337 8689z him from the hand 3709 4480x of all 3605x his enemies, 341 8802z and from the hand 3027 4480x of Saul: 7586 And he said,]] 559 8799z I will love 7355 8799z thee, O LORD, 3068 my strength. 2391

        18:2 The LORD 3068 [is] my rock, 5553 and my fortress, 4686 and my deliverer; 6403 8764z my God, 410 my strength, 6697 in whom I will trust; 2620 8799z my buckler, 4043 and the horn 7161 of my salvation, 3468 [and] my high tower. 4869

        18:3 I will call 7121 8799z upon the LORD, 3068 [who is worthy] to be praised: 1984 8794z so shall I be saved 3467 8735z from 4480x mine enemies. 341 8802z

        18:4 The sorrows 2256 of death 4194 compassed 661 8804z me, and the floods 5158 of ungodly men 1100 made me afraid. 1204 8762z

        18:5 The sorrows 2256 of hell 7585 compassed me about: 5437 8804z the snares 4170 of death 4194 prevented 6923 8765z me.

        18:6 In my distress 6862 I called 7121y 8799z upon 7121x the LORD, 3068 and cried 7768 8762z unto 413x my God: 430 he heard 8085 8799z my voice 6963 out of his temple, 1964 4480x and my cry 7775 came 935 8799z before 6440 him, [even] into his ears. 241

        18:7 Then the earth 776 shook 1607 8799z and trembled; 7493 8799z the foundations 4146 also of the hills 2022 moved 7264 8799z and were shaken, 1607 8691z because 3588x he was wroth. 2734 8804z

        18:8 There went up 5927 8804z a smoke 6227 out of his nostrils, 639 and fire 784 out of his mouth 6310 4480x devoured: 398 8799z coals 1513 were kindled 1197 8804z by 4480x it.

        18:9 He bowed 5186 8799z the heavens 8064 also, and came down: 3381 8799z and darkness 6205 [was] under 8478x his feet. 7272

        18:10 And he rode 7392 8799z upon 5921x a cherub, 3742 and did fly: 5774 8799z yea, he did fly 1675 8799z upon 5921x the wings 3671 of the wind. 7307

        18:11 He made 7896 8799z darkness 2822y 2824x his secret place; 5643 his pavilion 5521 round about 5439 him [were] dark 2824 waters 4325 [and] thick clouds 5645 of the skies. 7834

        18:12 At the brightness 5051 4480x [that was] before 5048x him his thick clouds 5645 passed, 5674 8804z hail 1259 [stones] and coals 1513 of fire. 784

        18:13 The LORD 3068 also thundered 7481 8686z in the heavens, 8064 and the Highest 5945 gave 5414 8799z his voice; 6963 hail 1259 [stones] and coals 1513 of fire. 784

        18:14 Yea, he sent out 7971 8799z his arrows, 2671 and scattered 6327 8686z them; and he shot out 7232 8804z lightnings, 1300 and discomfited 2000 8799z them.

        18:15 Then the channels 650 of waters 4325 were seen, 7200 8735z and the foundations 4146 of the world 8398 were discovered 1540 8735z at thy rebuke, 1606 4480x O LORD, 3068 at the blast 5397 4480x of the breath 7307 of thy nostrils. 639

        18:16 He sent 7971 8799z from above, 4791 4480x he took 3947 8799z me, he drew 4871 8686z me out of many 7227y waters. 4325 4480x 7227x

        18:17 He delivered 5337 8686z me from my strong 5794 enemy, 341 8802z 4480x and from them which hated 8130 8802z 4480x me: for 3588x they were too strong 553 8804z for 4480x me.

        18:18 They prevented 6923 8762z me in the day 3117 of my calamity: 343 but the LORD 3068 was 1961x my stay. 4937

        18:19 He brought me forth 3318 8686z also into a large place; 4800 he delivered 2502 8762z me, because 3588x he delighted 2654 8804z in me.

        18:20 The LORD 3068 rewarded 1580 8799z me according to my righteousness; 6664 according to the cleanness 1252 of my hands 3027 hath he recompensed 7725 8686z me.

        18:21 For 3588x I have kept 8104 8804z the ways 1870 of the LORD, 3068 and have not 3808x wickedly departed 7561 8804z from my God. 430 4480x

        18:22 For 3588x all 3605x his judgments 4941 [were] before 5048x me, and I did not 3808x put away 5493 8686z his statutes 2708 from 4480x me.

        18:23 I was 1961x also upright 8549 before 5973x him, and I kept 8104y 8691z myself 8104x from mine iniquity. 5771 4480x

        18:24 Therefore hath the LORD 3068 recompensed 7725 8686z me according to my righteousness, 6664 according to the cleanness 1252 of my hands 3027 in 5048x his eyesight. 5869

        18:25 With 5973x the merciful 2623 thou wilt shew thyself merciful; 2616 8691z with 5973x an upright 8549 man 1399 thou wilt shew thyself upright; 8552 8691z

        18:26 With 5973x the pure 1305 8737z thou wilt shew thyself pure; 1305 8691z and with 5973x the froward 6141 thou wilt shew thyself froward. 6617 8691z

        18:27 For 3588x thou wilt 859x save 3467 8686z the afflicted 6041 people; 5971 but wilt bring down 8213 8686z high 7311 8802z looks. 5869

        18:28 For 3588x thou 859x wilt light 215 8686z my candle: 5216 the LORD 3068 my God 430 will enlighten 5050 8686z my darkness. 2822

        18:29 For 3588x by thee I have run through 7323 8799z a troop; 1416 and by my God 430 have I leaped over 1801 8762z a wall. 7791

        18:30 [As for] God, 410 his way 1870 [is] perfect: 8549 the word 565 of the LORD 3068 is tried: 6884 8803z he 1931x [is] a buckler 4043 to all 3605x those that trust 2620 8802z in him.

        18:31 For 3588x who 4310x [is] God 433 save 1107 4480x the LORD? 3068 or who 4310x [is] a rock 6697 save 2108 our God? 430

        18:32 [It is] God 410 that girdeth 247 8764z me with strength, 2428 and maketh 5414 8799z my way 1870 perfect. 8549

        18:33 He maketh 7737 8764z my feet 7272 like hinds' 355 [feet], and setteth 5975 8686z me upon 5921x my high places. 1116

        18:34 He teacheth 3925 8764z my hands 3027 to war, 4421 so that a bow 7198 of steel 5154 is broken 5181 8765z by mine arms. 2220

        18:35 Thou hast also given 5414 8799z me the shield 4043 of thy salvation: 3468 and thy right hand 3225 hath holden me up, 5582 8799z and thy gentleness 6037y 6038x hath made me great. 7235 8686z

        18:36 Thou hast enlarged 7337 8686z my steps 6806 under 8478x me, that my feet 7166 did not 3808x slip. 4571 8804z

        18:37 I have pursued 7291 8799z mine enemies, 341 8802z and overtaken 5381 8686z them: neither 3808x did I turn again 7725 8799z till 5704x they were consumed. 3615 8763z

        18:38 I have wounded 4272 8799z them that they were not 3808x able 3201 8799z to rise: 6965 8800z they are fallen 5307 8799z under 8478x my feet. 7272

        18:39 For thou hast girded 247 8762z me with strength 2428 unto the battle: 4421 thou hast subdued 3766 8686z under 8478x me those that rose up 6965 8801z against me.

        18:40 Thou hast also given 5414 8804z me the necks 6203 of mine enemies; 341 8802z that I might destroy 6789 8686z them that hate 8130 8764z me.

        18:41 They cried, 7768 8762z but [there was] none 369x to save 3467 8688z [them: even] unto 5921x the LORD, 3068 but he answered 6030 8804z them not. 3808x

        18:42 Then did I beat 7833y 8799z them small 7833x as the dust 6083 before 6440 5921x the wind: 7307 I did cast them out 7324 8686z as the dirt 2916 in the streets. 2351

        18:43 Thou hast delivered 6403 8762z me from the strivings 7379 4480x of the people; 5971 [and] thou hast made 7760 8799z me the head 7218 of the heathen: 1471 a people 5971 [whom] I have not 3808x known 3045 8804z shall serve 5647 8799z me.

        18:44 As soon as they hear 8088 241 of me, they shall obey 8085 8735z me: the strangers 1121 5236 shall submit 3584 8762z themselves unto me.

        18:45 The strangers 1121 5236 shall fade away, 5034 8799z and be afraid 2727 8799z out of 4480x their close places. 4526

        18:46 The LORD 3068 liveth; 2416 and blessed 1288 8803z [be] my rock; 6697 and let the God 430 of my salvation 3468 be exalted. 7311 8799z

        18:47 [It is] God 410 that avengeth 5414 5360 8802z me, and subdueth 1696 8686z the people 5971 under 8478x me.

        18:48 He delivereth 6403 8764z me from mine enemies: 341 8802z 4480x yea, 637x thou liftest me up 7311 8787z above 4480x those that rise up 6965 8801z against me: thou hast delivered 5337 8686z me from the violent 2555 man. 376 4480x

        18:49 Therefore 5921x 3651x will I give thanks 3034 8686z unto thee, O LORD, 3068 among the heathen, 1471 and sing praises 2167 8762z unto thy name. 8034

        18:50 Great 1431 8688z deliverance 3444 giveth he to his king; 4428 and sheweth 6213 8802z mercy 2617 to his anointed, 4899 to David, 1732 and to his seed 2233 for 5704y evermore. 5769 5704x
