Chapter 44

1  The Church, in memory of former favours,  7  complaineth of her present evils.  17  Professing her integrity,  24  she fervently prayeth for succour.

        44:2 [How] thou 859x didst drive out 3423 8689z the heathen 1471 with thy hand, 3027 and plantedst 5193 8799z them; [how] thou didst afflict 7489 8686z the people, 3816 and cast them out. 7971 8762z

        44:3 For 3588x they got 3423y 0z not 3808x the land 776 in possession 3423 8804z by their own sword, 2719 neither 3808x did their own arm 2220 save 3467 8689z them: but 3588x thy right hand, 3225 and thine arm, 2220 and the light 216 of thy countenance, 6440 because 3588x thou hadst a favour 7521 8804z unto them.

        44:4 Thou 859x art my King, 4428 O God: 430 command 6680 8761z deliverances 3444 for Jacob. 3290

        44:5 Through thee will we push down 5055 8762z our enemies: 6862 through thy name 8034 will we tread them under 947 8799z that rise up 6965y 8801z against 6965x us.

        44:6 For 3588x I will not 3808x trust 982 8799z in my bow, 7198 neither 3808x shall my sword 2719 save 3467 8686z me.

        44:13 Thou makest 7760 8799z us a reproach 2781 to our neighbours, 7934 a scorn 3933 and a derision 7047 to them that are round about 5439 us.

        44:14 Thou makest 7760 8799z us a byword 4912 among the heathen, 1471 a shaking 4493 of the head 7218 among the people. 3816
