And Aaron:
"And he¹ shall be thy spokesmanª° unto¹ the people:ª and he shall be,¹ [even] he¹ shall be¹ to thee instead of a mouth,ª and thou¹ shalt be¹ to him instead of God.ª" {Exd 4:16}
did the:
"And the LORDª saidª° unto¹ him, What [is] that¹¹ in thine hand?ª And he said,ª° A rod.ª ... And it shall come to pass,¹ if¹ they will not¹ believeª° also¹ these¹ twoª signs,ª neither¹ hearkenª° unto thy voice,ª that thou shalt takeª° of the waterª¹ of the river,ª and pourª° [it] upon the dryª [land]: and the waterª which¹ thou takestª° out of¹ the riverª shall become¹ bloodª upon the dryª [land]." {Exd 4:2-9}
