"If¹ thou buyª° an Hebrewª servant,ª sixª yearsª he shall serve:ª° and in the seventhª he shall go outª° freeª for nothing.ª ... If¹ he came inª° by himself,ª he shall go outª° by himself:ª if¹ he¹ were married,ªª then his wifeª shall go outª° with¹ him." {Exd 21:2-3}
