Wherefore:

withstand thee:
Heb. be an adversary unto thee, "And God'sª angerª was kindledª ° because¹ he¹ went:ª ° and the angelª of the LORDª stoodª ° in the wayª for an adversaryª against him. Now he¹ was ridingª ° upon¹ his ass,ª and his twoª servantsª [were] with¹ him." {Num 22:22}

thy way:
