stay ye:
"I have pursuedª ° mine enemies,ª ° and overtakenª ° them: neither¹ did I turn againª ° till¹ they were consumed.ª ° ... They cried,ª ° but [there was] none¹ to saveª ° [them: even] unto¹ the LORD,ª but he answeredª ° them not.¹" {Psa 18:37-41} + "Cursedª ° [be] he that doethª ° the workª of the LORDª deceitfully,ª and cursedª ° [be] he that keepeth backª ° his swordª from blood.ª ¹" {Jer 48:10}

smite:
Heb. cut off the tail, "Therefore the LORDª will cut offª ° from Israelª ¹ headª and tail,ª branchª and rush,ª in oneª day.ª ... The ancientª and honourable,ª ª ° heª [is] the head;ª and the prophetª that teachethª ° lies,ª he¹ [is] the tail.ª" {Isa 9:14-15}

suffer them:
