- Jattir:
- Jattir or Jether, according to Eusebius, was situated in the district of Daroma, or the southern part of Judah, 20 miles (south) from Eleutheropolis, towards the city of Malatha. "And in the mountains,ª Shamir,ª and Jattir,ª and Socoh,ª" {Jsh 15:48} + "To [them]² which¹ [were] in Bethel,ª and to [them] which¹ [were] in southª Ramoth,ª and to [them] which¹ [were] in Jattir,ª ... And to [them] which¹ [were] in Aroer,ª and to [them] which¹ [were] in Siphmoth,ª and to [them] which¹ [were] in Eshtemoa,ª" {1Sm 30:27-28}
