The word hishilteehoo, "I have lent him," is the Hiphil conjugation of shual, "he asked," ("And there cameª ° a manª of Godª unto¹ Eli,ª and saidª ° unto¹ him, Thus¹ saithª ° the LORD,ª Did I plainly² ° appearª ° unto¹ the houseª of thy father,ª when they were¹ in Egyptª in Pharaoh'sª house?ª" {1Sm 2:27}), and refers to the name of Samuel.
