{1 Kings 16:8} In the twenty 6242 y8141 and sixth 8337 year 8141 of Asa 609 king 4428 of Judah 3063 began Elah 425 the son 1121 of Baasha 1201 to reign 4427 z8804 over x5921 Israel 3478 in Tirzah, 8656 two years. 8141
am 3075, bc 929
In the twenty:
Baasha began to reign in the third year of Asa, and reigned 24 years; yet he died and was succeeded by Elah in the 26th year of Asa; and, in like manner, Elah, who began to reign in the 26th year of Asa, and was killed in the 27th, is said to have reigned two years. Thus it is evident that a part of a year is calculated as a whole year. In the Chinese annals, the whole year in which a king dies is ascribed to his reign, the years of the succeeding king being reckoned only from the beginning of the following year. "In the twentyª² and sixthª yearª of Asaª kingª of Judahª began Elahª the sonª of Baashaª to reignª° over¹ Israelª in Tirzah,ª two years.ª" {1Kg 16:8}
