king Jehoash:
"And he gathered togetherª °¹ the priestsª and the Levites,ª and saidª ° to them, Go outª ° unto the citiesª of Judah,ª and gatherª ° of all¹ ¹ Israelª moneyª to repairª °¹ the houseª of your Godª fromª ¹ yearª to year,ª and see that ye¹ hastenª ° the matter.ª Howbeit the Levitesª hastenedª ° [it] not.¹" {2Ch 24:5} + "And the kingª calledª ° for Jehoiadaª the chief,ª and saidª ° unto him, Why¹ hast thou not¹ requiredª ° of¹ the Levitesª to bring inª ° out of Judahª ¹ and out of Jerusalemª ¹ ¹ the collection,ª [according to the commandment] of Mosesª the servantª of the LORD,ª and of the congregationª of Israel,ª for the tabernacleª of witness?ª ... And when they had finishedª ° [it], they broughtª °¹ the restª of the moneyª beforeª the kingª and Jehoiada,ª whereof were madeª ° vesselsª for the houseª of the LORD,ª [even] vesselsª to minister,ª and to offerª ° [withal], and spoons,ª and vesselsª of goldª and silver.ª And they offeredª °¹ burnt offeringsª in the houseª of the LORDª continuallyª all¹ the daysª of Jehoiada.ª" {2Ch 24:6-14}

Jehoiada:
"And Jehoashª didª ° [that which was] rightª in the sightª of the LORDª all¹ his daysª wherein¹ Jehoiadaª the priestª instructedª ° him." {2Kg 12:2} + "And the seventhª yearª Jehoiadaª sentª ° and fetchedª °¹ the rulersª over hundreds,ª with the captainsª and the guard,ª ° and broughtª ° them to¹ him into the houseª of the LORD,ª and madeª ° a covenantª with them, and took an oathª ° of them in the houseª of the LORD,ª and shewedª ° them¹ the king'sª son.ª" {2Kg 11:4} + "And in the seventhª yearª Jehoiadaª strengthened² ° himself,¹ and tookª °¹ the captainsª of hundreds,ª Azariahª the sonª of Jeroham,ª and Ishmaelª the sonª of Jehohanan,ª and Azariahª the sonª of Obed,ª and Maaseiahª the sonª of Adaiah,ª and Elishaphatª the sonª of Zichri,ª into covenantª with¹ him." {2Ch 23:1} + "And they buriedª ° him in the cityª of Davidª among¹ the kings,ª because¹ he had doneª ° goodª in Israel,ª both toward¹ God,ª and toward his house.ª" {2Ch 24:16}

Why repair ye:
"And Joabª answered,ª ° The LORDª make his peopleª an hundredª timesª so many moreª ° as theyª [be]: but, my lordª the king,ª [are] they not¹ all¹ my lord'sª servants?ª why¹ then doth my lordª requireª ° this thing?¹ why¹ will he be¹ a cause of trespassª to Israel?ª" {1Ch 21:3}
