{1 Chronicles 5:9} And eastward 4217 he inhabited 3427 z8804 unto x5704 the entering y935 z8800 in x935 of the wilderness 4057 from x4480 the river 5104 Euphrates: 6578 because x3588 their cattle 4735 were multiplied 7235 z8804 in the land 776 of Gilead. 1568

unto the entering:
That is, unto the borders of Arabia Deserta, which extends to the Euphrates.

Euphrates:
"And Davidª smoteª °¹ Hadarezerª kingª of Zobahª unto Hamath,ª as he went² °¹ to stablishª ° his dominionª by the riverª Euphrates.ª" {1Ch 18:3} + "And the nameª of the thirdª riverª [is] Hiddekel:ª that [is] it¹ which goeth¹ toward² ° the eastª of Assyria.ª And the fourthª riverª [is] Euphrates.ª" {Gen 2:14} + "And the kingª of Egyptª cameª ° not¹ againª ° any more¹ out of his land:ª ¹ for¹ the kingª of Babylonª had takenª ° from the river² ¹ ¹ of Egyptª unto¹ the river² ¹ ¹ Euphratesª all¹ that¹ pertained¹ to the kingª of Egypt.ª" {2Kg 24:7}

because:
"And he spakeª ° unto¹ them, saying,ª ° Returnª ° with muchª richesª unto¹ your tents,ª and with veryª muchª cattle,ª with silver,ª and with gold,ª and with brass,ª and with iron,ª and with veryª muchª ° raiment:ª divideª ° the spoilª of your enemiesª ° with¹ your brethren.ª ... And the childrenª of Reubenª and the childrenª of Gadª and the halfª tribeª of Manassehª returned,ª ° and departed² °¹ from¹ ¹ the childrenª of Israelª out of Shiloh,ª ¹ which¹ [is] in the landª of Canaan,ª to go² °¹ unto¹ the countryª of Gilead,ª to¹ the landª of their possession,ª whereof¹ they were possessed,ª ° according¹ to the wordª of the LORDª by the handª of Moses.ª" {Jsh 22:8-9}

Gilead:
