placed forces:
"And he fortifiedª °¹ the strong holds,ª and putª ° captainsª in them, and storeª of victual,ª and of oilª and wine.ª ... And in every¹ several cityª [he put] shieldsª and spears,ª and made them exceeding² °² strong,ª °¹ ¹ having¹ Judahª and Benjaminª on his side." {2Ch 11:11-12}
