{2 Chronicles 28:18} The Philistines 6430 also had invaded 6584 z8804 the cities 5892 of the low country, 8219 and of the south 5045 of Judah, 3063 and had taken 3920 z8799 x853 Bethshemesh, 1053 and Ajalon, 357 and Gederoth, 1450 and Shocho 7755 with the villages 1323 thereof, and Timnah 8553 with the villages 1323 thereof, Gimzo 1579 also and the villages 1323 thereof: and they dwelt 3427 z8799 there. x8033

Philistines:
"Behold,¹ therefore I have stretched outª ° my handª over¹ thee, and have diminishedª ° thine ordinaryª [food], and deliveredª ° thee unto the willª of them that hateª ° thee, the daughtersª of the Philistines,ª which are ashamedª ° of thy lewdª way.ª ¹" {Ezk 16:27} + "Before¹ thy wickednessª was discovered,ª ° as at¹ the timeª of [thy] reproachª of the daughtersª of Syria,ª and all¹ [that are] round aboutª her, the daughtersª of the Philistines,ª which despiseª ° thee round about.ª ¹" {Ezk 16:57}

Bethshemesh:
"And the borderª compassedª ° from Baalahª ¹ westwardª unto¹ mountª Seir,ª and passed² ° along¹ unto¹ the sideª of mountª Jearim,ª which¹ [is] Chesalon,ª on the north side,ª ¹ and went downª ° to Bethshemesh,ª and passed onª ° to Timnah:ª" {Jsh 15:10} + "And see,ª ° if¹ it goeth upª ° by the wayª of his own coastª to Bethshemesh,ª [then] he¹ hath doneª ° us¹ this¹ greatª evil:ª but if¹ not,¹ then we shall knowª ° that¹ [it is] not¹ his handª [that] smoteª ° us: it¹ [was] a chanceª [that] happened¹ to us.² °" {1Sm 6:9}
