Hilkiah:
"And when they brought outª °¹ the moneyª that was brought intoª ° the houseª of the LORD,ª Hilkiahª the priestª foundª °¹ a bookª of the lawª of the LORDª [given] byª Moses.ª ... they delivered:
"Now it came to pass,¹ that at what timeª ¹ the chestª was broughtª ° unto¹ the king'sª officeª by the handª of the Levites,ª and when they sawª ° that¹ [there was] muchª money,ª the king'sª scribeª ° and the highª priest'sª officerª cameª ° and emptiedª °¹ the chest,ª and tookª ° it, and carriedª ° it to¹ his placeª again.² ° Thus¹ they didª ° dayª by day,ª and gatheredª ° moneyª in abundance.ª ... And when they had finishedª ° [it], they broughtª °¹ the restª of the moneyª beforeª the kingª and Jehoiada,ª whereof were madeª ° vesselsª for the houseª of the LORD,ª [even] vesselsª to minister,ª and to offerª ° [withal], and spoons,ª and vesselsª of goldª and silver.ª And they offeredª °¹ burnt offeringsª in the houseª of the LORDª continuallyª all¹ the daysª of Jehoiada.ª" {2Ch 24:11-14} + "And let them deliverª ° it into¹ the handª of the doersª ° of the work,ª that have the oversightª ° of the houseª of the LORD:ª and let them giveª ° it to the doersª ° of the workª which¹ [is] in the houseª of the LORD,ª to repairª ° the breachesª of the house,ª ... Manasseh:
"So the postsª ° passedª °¹ from cityª ¹ to cityª through the countryª of Ephraimª and Manassehª even unto¹ Zebulun:ª but they laughed them to scorn,ª °¹ ¹ and mockedª ° them." {2Ch 30:10} + "For¹ a multitudeª of the people,ª [even] manyª of Ephraim,ª ¹ and Manasseh,ª Issachar,ª and Zebulun,ª had notª cleansed² ° themselves,¹ yet¹ did they eatª °¹ the passoverª otherwise¹ than it was written.ª ° But¹ Hezekiahª prayedª ° for¹ them, saying,ª ° The goodª LORDª pardonª ° every one¹" {2Ch 30:18} + "Now when all¹ this¹ was finished,ª ° all¹ Israelª that were presentª ° went outª ° to the citiesª of Judah,ª and brake² ° the images² in pieces,ª °¹ and cut downª ° the groves,ª and threw downª °¹ the high placesª and the altarsª out of all¹ ¹ Judahª and Benjamin,ª in Ephraimª also and Manasseh,ª until¹ they had utterly destroyedª ° them all. Then all¹ the childrenª of Israelª returned,ª ° every manª to his possession,ª into their own cities.ª" {2Ch 31:1}

Instead of wyyashuvoo, "and they returned," as the Keri has, we should, with the Kethiv, read weyoshevey, "and the inhabitants of;" a reading which is supported by many MSS, printed editions, and all the versions, as well as necessity and common sense. "And when he had broken downª °¹ the altarsª and the groves,ª and had beatenª ° the graven imagesª into powder,ª ° and cut downª ° all¹ the idolsª throughout all¹ the landª of Israel,ª he returnedª ° to Jerusalem.ª" {2Ch 34:7}
