- The Syriac, Arabic, and the parallel place (see note on "Jehoiachinª [was] eighteenªª yearsª oldª when he began to reign,ª° and he reignedª° in Jerusalemª threeª months.ª And his mother'sª nameª [was] Nehushta,ª the daughterª of Elnathanª of Jerusalem.ª¹" {2Kg 24:8}), have "eighteen years;" which, as Scaliger observes, is no doubt the genuine reading.
