the vessels:
"Andª thatª he might make knownª ° the¹ richesª of his² ¹ gloryª onª the vesselsª of mercy,ª whichª he had afore preparedª ° untoª glory,ª" {Rom 9:23} + "Neverthelessª the foundationª of Godª standethª ° sure,ª havingª ° thisª seal,ª The Lordª knowethª ° them that areª ° his.² ¹ And,ª Let² ° every oneª that namethª ° the¹ nameª of Christª departª ° fromª iniquity.ª ... Ifª a manª thereforeª purgeª ° himselfª fromª these,ª he shall beª ° a vesselª untoª honour,ª sanctified,ª ° andª meet² for the master's use,ª ¹ ¹ [and] preparedª ° untoª everyª goodª work.ª" {2Tm 2:19-21}

five thousand:
Instead of 5,400, the enumeration of the articles in "And this¹ [is] the numberª of them: thirtyª chargersª of gold,ª a thousandª chargersª of silver,ª nineª and twentyª knives,ª ... Thirtyª basonsª of gold,ª silverª basonsª of a secondª [sort] fourª hundredª and ten,ª [and] otherª vesselsª a thousand.ª" {Ezr 1:9-10}, only amounts to 2,499. It is supposed that they actually amounted to 5,400, but that only the chief of there specified, the spoons, etc. being omitted.
