Nehemiah:
"And Nehemiah,ª which¹ [is] the Tirshatha,ª and Ezraª the priestª the scribe,ª° and the Levitesª that taughtª°¹ the people,ª saidª° unto all¹ the people,ª This¹ dayª [is] holyª unto the LORDª your God;ª mournª° not,¹ nor¹ weep.ª° For¹ all¹ the peopleª wept,ª° when they heardª°¹ the wordsª of the law.ª" {Neh 8:9}
Tirshatha:
or, governor, "And some¹¹ of² the chiefª of the fathersª gaveª° unto the work.ª The Tirshathaª gaveª° to the treasureª a thousandª dramsª of gold,ª fiftyª basons,ª fiveª hundredª and thirtyª priests'ª garments.ª" {Neh 7:70} + "And the Tirshathaª saidª° unto them, that¹ they should not¹ eatª° of the most² holy things,ª¹ till¹ there stood upª° a priestª with Urimª and with Thummim.ª" {Ezr 2:63}
son of Hachaliah:
"The wordsª of Nehemiahª the sonª of Hachaliah.ª And it came to pass¹ in the monthª Chisleu,ª in the twentiethª year,ª as I¹ was¹ in Shushanª the palace,ª" {Neh 1:1}
