{Proverbs 28:8} He that by usury 5392 and unjust gain 8636 increaseth 7235 z8688 his substance, 1952 he shall gather 6908 z8762 it for him that will pity 2603 z8802 the poor. 1800

that by:
"A goodª [man] leaveth an inheritanceª ° to his children'sª children:ª and the wealthª of the sinnerª ° [is] laid upª ° for the just.ª" {Prv 13:22} + "Though¹ he heap upª ° silverª as the dust,ª and prepareª ° raimentª as the clay;ª ... He may prepareª ° [it], but the justª shall put [it] on,ª ° and the innocentª shall divideª ° the silver.ª" {Job 27:16-17} + "For¹ [God] givethª ° to a manª that [is] goodª ¹ in his sightª wisdom,ª and knowledge,ª and joy:ª but to the sinnerª ° he givethª ° travail,ª to gatherª ° and to heap up,ª ° that he may giveª ° to [him that is] goodª beforeª God.ª This¹ also¹ [is] vanityª and vexationª of spirit.ª" {Ecc 2:26}

unjust gain:
Heb. by increase, "Takeª ° thou no¹ usuryª of¹ ¹ him, or increase:ª but fear² ° thy God;ª ¹ ¹ that thy brotherª may live² ¹ with¹ thee." {Lev 25:36} + "He [that] hath not¹ given forthª ° upon usury,ª neither¹ hath takenª ° any increase,ª [that] hath withdrawnª ° his handª from iniquity,ª ¹ hath executedª ° trueª judgmentª between¹ manª and man,ª" {Ezk 18:8} + "Hath given forthª ° upon usury,ª and hath takenª ° increase:ª shall he then live?² °¹ he shall not¹ live:ª ° he hath doneª °¹ all¹ these¹ abominations;ª he shall surely² ° die;ª ° his bloodª shall be¹ upon him." {Ezk 18:13} + "[That] hath taken offª ° his handª from the poor,ª ¹ [that] hath not¹ receivedª ° usuryª nor increase,ª hath executedª ° my judgments,ª hath walkedª ° in my statutes;ª he¹ shall not¹ dieª ° for the iniquityª of his father,ª he shall surely² ° live.ª °" {Ezk 18:17}

pity:
"All¹ the brethrenª of the poorª ° do hateª ° him: how much more¹ ¹ do his friendsª go farª ° from¹ him? he pursuethª ° [them with] words,ª [yet] they¹ [are] wanting¹ [to him]." {Prv 19:7} + "And he shall restoreª ° the lambª fourfold,ª becauseª ¹ he didª °¹ this¹ thing,ª and becauseª ¹ he had no¹ pity.ª °" {2Sm 12:6}
