{Jeremiah 27:8} And it shall come to pass, x1961 [that] the nation 1471 and kingdom 4467 which x834 will not x3808 serve 5647 z8799 the same x853 Nebuchadnezzar 5019 the king 4428 of Babylon, 894 and that x834 will not x3808 put 5414 z8799 x853 their neck 6677 under the yoke 5923 of the king 4428 of Babylon, 894 that x1931 nation 1471 will I punish, 6485 z8799 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 with the sword, 2719 and with the famine, 7458 and with the pestilence, 1698 until x5704 I have consumed 8552 z8800 them by his hand. 3027

And it:
There is a peculiar grandeur, as well as propriety, in this method of predicting Nebuchadnezzar's rapid successes. The God of Israel, declaring himself to be the Lord of armies, and the Creator and Owner of the whole earth, with all its inhabitants and productions, and claiming full sovereignty over his creatures, avows his determination, for reasons he does not deign to assign, to give all the countries of the world to the king of Babylon, whom he calls his servant, because he would accomplish an important part of his most righteous designs. They, therefore, who would escape the most dreadful judgments, must submit to the God of Israel, by submitting to Nebuchadnezzar; they must hearken to the prophets of Israel, and not to their own diviners; and they must observe, that Nebuchadnezzar, his son, and his grandson, would whatever opposition should be made, possess the full dominion of all these countries, till the appointed time was expired; and then, these haughty conquerors would in their turn become the prey of other powerful conquerors; all of which was most exactly fulfilled.

that nation:
"And it shall be,¹ if¹ they refuseª ° to takeª ° the cupª at thine handª ¹ to drink,ª ° then shalt thou sayª ° unto¹ them, Thus¹ saithª ° the LORDª of hosts;ª Ye shall certainly² ° drink.ª ° ... "And I will sendª °¹ the sword,ª ¹ the famine,ª and the pestilence,ª among them, till¹ they be consumedª ° from off¹ ¹ the landª that¹ I gaveª ° unto them and to their fathers.ª" {Jer 24:10} + "For¹ thus¹ saithª ° the Lordª GOD;ª How much more¹ when¹ I sendª ° my fourª soreª judgmentsª upon¹ Jerusalem,ª the sword,ª and the famine,ª and the noisomeª beast,ª and the pestilence,ª to cut offª ° from¹ it manª and beast?ª" {Ezk 14:21}
