buildeth:
"Who layeth the beamsª ° of his chambersª in the waters:ª who makethª ° the cloudsª his chariot:ª who walkethª ° upon¹ the wingsª of the wind:ª" {Psa 104:3} + "He waterethª ° the hillsª from his chambers:ª ¹ the earthª is satisfiedª ° with the fruitª ¹ of thy works.ª" {Psa 104:13}

stories:
or, spheres, Heb. ascensions, Maaloth "upper chambers," which in eastern houses are the principal apartments. Perhaps there is a reference here to the various systems which God has created in illimitable space, transcending each other as the planets do in our system.

troop:
or, bundle, "Thus the heavensª and the earthª were finished,ª ° and all¹ the host¹ of them.²" {Gen 2:1} Aguddah probably is the same as the Arabic ijad "an arch, vault," and may here denote the vault of heaven, or atmosphere, which God "hath founded, or established, upon, or over, al the earth," and into which "he calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth."

calleth:
"[Seek him] that makethª ° the seven starsª and Orion,ª and turnethª ° the shadow of deathª into the morning,ª and maketh the day² darkª °¹ with night:ª that callethª ° for the watersª of the sea,ª and poureth them outª ° upon¹ the faceª of the earth:ª The LORDª [is] his name:ª" {Ams 5:8} + "In² the sixª hundredthª yearª of Noah'sª life,ª in the secondª month,ª the seventeenthª ª dayª of the month,ª the same² ¹ dayª were all¹ the fountainsª of the greatª deepª broken up,ª ° and the windowsª of heavenª were opened.ª ° ... And the watersª prevailedª ° exceedinglyª upon¹ the earth;ª and all¹ the highª hills,ª that¹ [were] underª the whole¹ heaven,ª were covered.ª °" {Gen 7:11-19} + "Fearª ° ye not¹ me? saithª ° the LORD:ª will ye not¹ trembleª ° at my presence,ª ¹ which¹ have placedª ° the sandª [for] the boundª of the seaª by a perpetualª decree,ª that it cannot¹ passª ° it: and though the wavesª thereof toss² ° themselves,¹ yet can they not¹ prevail;ª ° though they roar,ª ° yet can they not¹ pass overª ° it?" {Jer 5:22}

The LORD[YHWH]:
"For,¹ lo,¹ he that formethª ° the mountains,ª and createthª ° the wind,ª and declarethª ° unto manª what¹ [is] his thought,ª that makethª ° the morningª darkness,ª and treadethª ° upon¹ the high placesª of the earth,ª The LORD,ª The Godª of hosts,ª [is] his name.ª" {Ams 4:13} + "And Godª saidª ° unto¹ Moses,ª I AMª ° THAT¹ I AM:ª ° and he said,ª ° Thus¹ shalt thou sayª ° unto the childrenª of Israel,ª I AM¹ hath sentª ° me unto¹ you. ...
