Cnidus:
Cnidus was a town and promontory of Caria in Asia Minor, opposite Crete, now Cape Krio.

we sailed:
"Andª because² ° the¹ havenª wasª ° not commodiousª toª winter in,ª the¹ more partª advisedª ª ° to departª ° thence also,ª if² by any means² ¹ they mightª ° attainª ° toª Phenice,ª [and there] to winter;ª ° [which is] an havenª of Crete,ª and liethª ° towardª the south westª andª ² north west.ª ...
