And ye shall measure without the city for the east side two thousand cubits, and for the south side two thousand cubits, and for the west side two thousand cubits, and for the north side two thousand cubits, the city being in the midst. This shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.

And ye shall measureª° from withoutª¹ the cityª on¹ the eastª sideª two thousandª cubits,ª and on the southª sideª two thousandª cubits,ª and on the westª sideª two thousandª cubits,ª and on the northª sideª two thousandª cubits;ª and the cityª [shall be] in the midst:ª this¹ shall be¹ to them the suburbsª of the cities.ª

And thou shalt measure outside the city on the east side two thousand cubits, and on the south side two thousand cubits, and on the west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits; and your city shall be in the midst of this, and the suburbs of the cities [as described].
