If the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to put his name there, be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which Jehovah hath given thee, as I have commanded thee; and thou mayest eat within thy gates, after all the desire of thy soul.

If¹ the placeª which¹ the LORDª thy Godª hath chosenª° to putª° his nameª there¹ be too farª° from¹ thee, then thou shalt killª° of thy herdª¹ and of thy flock,ª¹ which¹ the LORDª hath givenª° thee, as¹ I have commandedª° thee, and thou shalt eatª° in thy gatesª whatsoever¹ thy soulª lusteth after.ª

And if the place be far from thee, which the Lord thy God shall choose for himself, that his name be called upon it, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock which God shall have given thee, even as I commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy cities according to the desire of thy soul.
