Happy art thou, O Israel: Who is like unto thee, a people saved by Jehovah, The shield of thy help, And the sword of thy excellency! And thine enemies shall submit themselves unto thee; And thou shalt tread upon their high places.

Happyª [art] thou, O Israel:ª who¹ [is] like unto thee,¹ O peopleª savedª° by the LORD,ª the shieldª of thy help,ª and who¹ [is] the swordª of thy excellency!ª and thine enemiesª° shall be found liarsª° unto thee; and thou¹ shalt treadª° upon¹ their high places.ª

Blessed [art] thou, O Israel; who [is] like to thee, O people saved by the Lord? thy helper shall hold his shield over thee, and [his] sword [is] thy boast; and thine enemies shall speak falsely to thee, and thou shalt tread upon their neck.
