And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Hivite, and the Perizzite, and the Girgashite, and the Amorite, and the Jebusite.

And Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַª said,ª° Hereby¹ ye shall knowª° that¹ the livingª ´Ël אֵלª [is] amongª you, and [that] he will without fail²° drive outª° from beforeª¹ you¹ the Cæna`ánîm כְּנַעֲנִים,ª and the Çittîm חִתִּים,ª and the Çiwwîm חִוִּים,ª and the Pærizzîm פְּרִזִּים,ª and the Girgäšîm גִּרגָּשִׁים,ª and the ´Émörîm אֱמֹרִים,ª and the Yævûsîm יְבוּסִים.ª
