And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth-aven, on the east side of Beth-el, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and spy out the land. And the men went up and spied out Ai.

And Joshuaª sentª° men²¹ from Jerichoª¹ to Ai,ª which¹ [is] besideª Bethaven,ª on the east sideª¹ of Bethel,ª and spakeª° unto¹ them, saying,ª° Go upª° and viewª°¹ the country.ª And the men²¹ went upª° and viewedª°¹ Ai.ª

And Ioshuaª sentª° men²¹ from Ierichoª¹ to Ai,ª which¹ is besideª Beth-auen,ª on the East sideª¹ of Bethel,ª and spakeª° vnto¹ them, saying,ª° Goe vpª° and viewª°¹ the countrey.ª And the men²¹ went vp,ª° and viewedª°¹ Ai.ª

And Joshua{gr.Jesus} sent men to Ai{gr.Gai}, which is by Bethel{gr.Baethel}, saying, Spy out Ai{gr.Gai}: and the men went up and spied Ai{gr.Gai}.

And Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַª sentª° men²¹ from Yærîçô יְרִיחוֹª¹ to `Ay עַי,ª which¹ [is] besideª Bêŧ ´Äwen בֵּית־אָוֶן,ª on the east sideª¹ of Bêŧ ´Ël בֵּית־אֵל,ª and spakeª° unto¹ them, saying,ª° Go upª° and viewª°¹ the country.ª And the men²¹ went upª° and viewedª°¹ `Ay עַי.ª
