behold, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing-floor; if there be dew on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the ground, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by my hand, as thou hast spoken.

Behold,¹ I¹ will putª°¹ a fleeceª of woolª in the floor;ª [and] if¹ the dewª be¹ on¹ the fleeceª only,¹ and [it be] dryª upon¹ all¹ the earthª [beside], then shall I knowª° that¹ thou wilt saveª°¹ Israelª by mine hand,ª as¹ thou hast said.ª°
