And Gideon sent messengers throughout all the hill-country of Ephraim, saying, Come down against Midian, and take before them the waters, as far as Beth-barah, even the Jordan. So all the men of Ephraim were gathered together, and took the waters as far as Beth-barah, even the Jordan.

And Gideonª sentª° messengersª throughout all¹ mountª Ephraim,ª saying,ª° Come downª° againstª° the Midianites,ª and takeª° before them¹ the watersª unto¹ Bethbarahª and Jordan.ª Then all¹ the menª of Ephraimª gathered themselves together,ª° and tookª°¹ the watersª unto¹ Bethbarahª and Jordan.ª
