But his wife said unto him, If Jehovah were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt-offering and a meal-offering at our hand, neither would he have showed us all these things, nor would at this time have told such things as these.

But his wifeª saidª° unto him, Ifª the LORDª were pleasedª° to killª° us, he would not¹ have receivedª° a burnt offeringª and a meat offeringª at our hands,ª¹ neither¹ would he have shewedª° us¹ all¹ these¹ [things], nor¹ would as at this timeª have toldª° us [such things] as these.ª

But his wifeª saidª° vnto him, Ifª the LORDª were pleasedª° to killª° vs, he would not¹ haue receiuedª° a burnt offeringª and a meat offeringª at our hands,ª¹ neither¹ would hee haue shewedª° vs¹ all¹ these¹ things, nor¹ would as at this timeª haue toldª° vs [such things] as these.ª

But his wife said to him, If the Lord were pleased to slay us, he would not have received of our hand a whole-burnt-offering and a meat-offering; and he would not have shewn us all these things, neither would he have caused us to hear all these things as at this time.

But his wifeª saidª° unto him, Ifª Yähwè יָהוֶהª were pleasedª° to killª° us, he would not¹ have receivedª° a burnt offeringª and a meat offeringª at our hands,ª¹ neither¹ would he have shewedª° us¹ all¹ these¹ [things], nor¹ would as at this timeª have toldª° us [such things] as these.ª
