Therefore Jehovah, the God of Israel, saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now Jehovah saith, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

Wherefore¹ the LORDª Godª of Israelª saith,ª° I saidª° indeedª° [that] thy house,ª and the houseª of thy father,ª should walkª° beforeª me for² ever:ª¹ but now¹ the LORDª saith,ª° Be it far¹ from me;² for¹ them that honourª° me I will honour,ª° and they that despiseª° me shall be lightly esteemed.ª°
