And David girded his sword upon his apparel, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.

And Davidª girdedª°¹ his swordª upon¹¹ his armour,ª and he assayedª° to go;²°¹ for¹ he had not¹ provedª° [it]. And Davidª saidª° unto¹ Saul,ª I cannotª°¹ go²°¹ with these;¹ for¹ I have not¹ provedª° [them]. And Davidª putª° them off¹¹ him.

And Dauidª girdedª°¹ his swordª vpon¹¹ his armour,ª and he assayedª° to goe,²°¹ for¹ he had not¹ prouedª° [it]: and Dauidª saidª° vnto¹ Saul,ª I cannotª°¹ goe²°¹ with these:¹ for¹ I haue not¹ prouedª° [them]. And Dauidª putª° them off¹¹ him.

And he girt David with his sword over his coat: and he made trial walking [with them] once and again: and David said to Saul, I shall not be able to go with these, for I have not proved [them]: so they remove them from him.
