Now therefore, my lord, as Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, seeing Jehovah hath withholden thee from bloodguiltiness, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now therefore let thine enemies, and them that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.

Now¹ therefore, my lord,ª [as] the LORDª liveth,ª and [as] thy soulª liveth,ª seeing¹ the LORDª hath withholdenª° thee from comingª°¹ to [shed] blood,ª and from avengingª° thyself with thine own hand,ª now¹ let thine enemies,ª° and they that seekª° evilª to¹ my lord,ª be¹ as Nabal.ª

Now¹ therefore, my lord,ª [as] the LORDª liueth,ª and [as] thy souleª liueth,ª seeing¹ the LORDª hath withholdenª° thee from commingª°¹ to [shed] blood,ª and from auengingª° thy selfe with thine owne hand:ª now¹ let thine enemiesª° and they that seckeª° euillª to¹ my lord,ª bee¹ as Nabal.ª

And now, my lord, [as] the Lord lives, and thy soul lives, as the Lord has kept thee from coming against innocent blood, and from executing vengeance for thyself, now therefore let thine enemies, and those that seek evil against my lord, become as Nabal.

Now¹ therefore, my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן,ª [as] Yähwè יָהוֶהª liveth,ª and [as] thy soulª liveth,ª seeing¹ Yähwè יָהוֶהª hath withholdenª° thee from comingª°¹ to [shed] blood,ª and from avengingª° thyself with thine own hand,ª now¹ let thine enemies,ª° and they that seekª° evilª to¹ my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן,ª be¹ as Näväl נָבָל.ª
