And Achish believed David, saying, He hath made his people Israel utterly to abhor him; therefore he shall be my servant for ever.

So David had the full confidence of Achish{gr.Anchus}, who said, He is thoroughly disgraced among his people in Israel and he shall be my servant for ever.
