The matter is not so: but a man of the hill-country of Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his hand against the king, even against David; deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to thee over the wall.

The matterª [is] not¹ so:¹ but¹ a manª of mountª¹ Ephraim,ª Shebaª the sonª of Bichriª by name,ª hath lifted upª° his handª against the king,ª [even] against David:ª deliverª° him only,¹ and I will depart²°¹ from¹¹ the city.ª And the womanª saidª° unto¹ Joab,ª Behold,¹ his headª shall be thrownª° to¹ thee overª the wall.ª

Is not the case thus, that a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba{gr.Sabee}, son of Bichri{gr.Bochori} by name, has even lifted up his hand against king David? Give him only to me, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said to Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to thee over the wall.
