And Benaiah came to the Tent of Jehovah, and said unto him, Thus saith the king, Come forth. And he said, Nay; but I will die here. And Benaiah brought the king word again, saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me.

And Benaiahª cameª° to¹ the tabernacleª of the LORD,ª and saidª° unto¹ him, Thus¹ saithª° the king,ª Come forth.ª° And he said,ª° Nay;¹ but¹ I will dieª° here.¹ And Benaiahª broughtª°¹ the kingª wordª again,²° saying,ª° Thus¹ saidª° Joab,ª and thus¹ he answeredª° me.

And Benaiahª cameª° to¹ the Tabernacleª of the LORD,ª and saidª° vnto¹ him, Thus¹ saithª° the king,ª Come foorth.ª° And he said,ª° Nay,¹ but¹ I will dieª° heere.¹ And Benaiahª broughtª°¹ the kingª wordª againe,²° saying,ª° Thus¹ saidª° Ioab,ª and thus¹ he answeredª° me.

And Benaiah{gr.Banaeas} son of Jehoiada{gr.Jodae} came to Joab to the tabernacle of the Lord, and said to him, Thus says the king, Come forth. And Joab said, I will not come forth, for I will die here. And Benaiah{gr.Banaeas} son of Jehoiada{gr.Jodae} returned and spoke to the king, saying, Thus has Joab spoken, and thus has he answered me.
