And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the mouth of Jehovah: therefore Jehovah hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spake unto him.

And when the prophetª that¹ brought him backª° from¹ the wayª heardª° [thereof], he said,ª° It¹ [is] the manª of God,ª who¹ was disobedientª° unto¹ the wordª of the LORD:ª therefore the LORDª hath deliveredª° him unto the lion,ª which hath tornª° him, and slainª° him, according to the wordª of the LORD,ª which¹ he spakeª° unto him.

And [the prophet] that turned him back out of the way heard, and said, This is the man of God who rebelled against the word of the Lord.

And when the prophetª that¹ brought him backª° from¹ the wayª heardª° [thereof], he said,ª° It¹ [is] the manª of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,ª who¹ was disobedientª° unto¹ the wordª of Yähwè יָהוֶה:ª therefore Yähwè יָהוֶהª hath deliveredª° him unto the lion,ª which hath tornª° him, and slainª° him, according to the wordª of Yähwè יָהוֶה,ª which¹ he spakeª° unto him.
