So he went and did according unto the word of Jehovah; for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before the Jordan.

So he went²°¹ and didª° according unto the wordª of the LORD:ª for he went²°¹ and dweltª° by the brookª Cherith,ª that¹ [is] beforeª¹ Jordan.ª

So hee went,²°¹ and didª° according vnto the wordª of the LORD:ª for hee went²°¹ and dweltª° by the brookeª Cherith,ª that¹ [is] beforeª¹ Iordane.ª

And Elijah{gr.Eliu} did according to the word of the Lord, and he sat by the brook of Chorrath before Jordan.
